Shaki Fortress Introduction
Shaki Fort is located on a cape outside of Qingqi Village and is primarily composed of granite gneiss and granite. From the perspective of Nanshan Head, it resembles a bird's beak, which is why it is also called "Phoenix Beak." The unique location of Shaki Fort offers a view of Dadan, Erdan, Pinglang Isle, and Xiamen, and it shoulders significant military responsibilities, much like the various military outposts on Kinmen. The camp includes bunkers, ammunition depots, and tunnels. After the reduction of stationed troops, the camp has been revitalized and renovated. A viewing pavilion has been established here, and as you walk along the path with the sea breeze, it feels as if you are embraced by the invisible blue sea at the end. This spot has become one of the must-see beautiful landscapes in Kinmen for photographers!
