Shah Khi Fort Introduction
Shaxi Fort is located on the cape outside of Qingqi Village and is mainly composed of granodiorite and granite mixed together. From the perspective of South Mountain, it resembles a bird's beak, which is why it is also referred to as "Phoenix Beak." The unique location of Shaxi Fort allows for a view of Dadan, Erdan, Betel Nut Islet, and Xiamen. It holds significant military responsibility, much like the various military installations in Kinmen, with bunkers, ammunition depots, and tunnels all present in the camp. Following the reduction of stationed troops, the camp has undergone revitalization and reconstruction. A scenic pavilion has been established here, and walking along the path with the sea breeze leads to the pavilion, as if embraced by the blue sea at an invisible end, making it one of the stunning vistas in Kinmen that photographers do not want to miss!
