Shahih Fort Introduction

Shachihoko Fort is located on a cape outside Qingqi Village, primarily composed of granodiorite and granite. Viewed from the southern mountain peak, it resembles a bird's beak, hence it's also called "Phoenix Beak." With its unique location, Shachihoko Fort overlooks Dadan, Erdan, Betelnut Islet, and Xiamen. It has historically held significant military responsibilities, similar to various military outposts in Kinmen, with bunkers, ammunition depots, and tunnels all present in the base. Following the reduction of stationed troops, the base has been revitalized and renovated. Here, at the westernmost point of Taiwan, a viewing pavilion has been established. Walking toward the pavilion along the path with the sea breeze, it feels as if being embraced by the invisible blue sea at the end, making it one of the stunning Kinmen landscapes that photographers do not want to miss!
