Shashik Fort Introduction
Shakik Fortress is located on a cape outside Qingqi Village, primarily composed of granite gneiss and granite. From the viewpoint of Nanshan Head, it resembles a bird's beak, hence also known as "Fengzui" (Phoenix Beak). The location of Shakik Fortress is unique, allowing for views of Dadeng, Erdeng, Biumu Island, and Xiamen. It holds significant military importance, similar to various military outposts in Kinmen. The base is equipped with bunkers, ammunition depots, and tunnels, and after the reduction of stationed troops, it has been revitalized and renovated. In this westernmost part of Taiwan, a viewing pavilion has been set up. Following the coastal breeze along the path to the pavilion, visitors feel embraced by the unseen blue sea at the end, making it one of the stunning Kinmen views that photographers do not want to miss!
