Kinmen Peace Memorial Park (Linzu Fort) Introduction
Jinmen Peace Memorial Park is the main battleground of the Battle of Guningtou, where different forms and sizes of bunkers can be seen nestled between the mounds along the park's roads. In memory of General Hu Lian, who commanded the victory at the Battle of Guningtou, and the soldiers who participated in the battle, this area has been designated as the "Jinmen Peace Memorial Park." The park features the Hu Lian Memorial Hall and a Peace Bell made from artillery shell fragments. In 2011, a ceremony was held to simultaneously ring the Peace Bell at Volkspark Friedrichshain in Berlin and Jinmen Peace Memorial Park, witnessing the rare peace after the war. ▪️This location also serves as the starting point for the Guningtou Battery Car Tour: Guningtou Battery Car Tour Point.
