Kinmen Peace Memorial Park (Lin's Fort) Introduction
The Kinmen Peace Memorial area is the main battlefield of the Battle of Guningtou. Along the roads within the park, you can see various forms and sizes of bunkers hidden among the earth mounds. To commemorate General Hu Lian, who commanded the victory in the Battle of Guningtou, and the soldiers who participated in the battle, this area has been designated as the "Kinmen Peace Memorial Park." Inside the park, there is a memorial hall dedicated to General Hu Lian, as well as a peace bell made from artillery shell fragments. In 2011, a ceremony was held in which the peace bell was simultaneously tolled at Volkspark Friedrichshain in Berlin and Kinmen Peace Memorial Park, symbolizing the precious peace achieved after the war. ▪️This location is also the starting point for the Guningtou Battery Car Tour: Guningtou Battery Car Tour point here.
