Kinmen Peace Memorial Park (Linchuo Fort) Introduction
The Kinmen Peace Memorial is located at the main battlefield of the Battle of Guningtou. Along the paths of the park, one can see bunkers of various shapes and sizes hidden among the earth mounds. To commemorate General Hu Lien, who commanded the victory at the Battle of Guningtou, and the soldiers who participated in the battle, the area was planned as the "Kinmen Peace Memorial Park." The park features the Hu Lien Memorial Hall and a peace bell made from artillery shell fragments. In 2011, a ceremony was held, synchronizing the ringing of the peace bell with the Volkspark Friedrichshain in Berlin, witnessing the precious peace after the war together. ▪️ This location is also the starting point for the Guningtou Battery Car Tour.
