Shuangli Lake / Shuangli Wetland Center Introduction
From a high viewpoint overlooking the lake, the shape of Shuangli Lake resembles two entwined carps, hence its name. On clear days, gentle breezes ripple the lake's surface, while the reflections of ancient houses create a serene beauty unique to Kinmen. Shuangli Lake and Cihu Lake are two popular attractions for visitors, rich in ecology with numerous waterbirds gathering. A special birdwatching trail has been established between the two lakes, allowing visitors to enjoy the lakeside scenery all at once. The Shuangli Wetland Nature Center introduces Kinmen's natural resources, providing complete information on rare animals such as horseshoe crabs, silver perch, Chinese white dolphins, and Eurasian otters. The nature center is uniquely designed, with its underground floor located just beneath the water's surface. Visitors can order a cup of coffee or dessert and sit by a small window to observe the lakebed ecosystem, and the blooming lotus flowers in summer should not be missed!
