Shuangli Lake / Shuangli Wetland Center Introduction
From a high vantage point, the lake resembles two fish entwined together, and thus it is named Shuangli Lake. On clear days, the gentle breeze stirs the ripples on the lake's surface, and the reflections of ancient houses are mirrored in the water, creating a tranquil beauty unique to Kinmen. Shuangli Lake and Cihu are two major attractions favored by visitors, rich in ecology and teeming with waterbirds. A special birdwatching trail has been established between the two lakes, allowing for a comprehensive view of the lakeside scenery. The Shuangli Wetland Natural Center introduces Kinmen's natural resources, and visitors can gain complete knowledge about rare animals such as horseshoe crabs, silver pomfret, Chinese white dolphins, and Eurasian otters. The natural center is uniquely designed, with its underground floor situated just below the lake surface, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or dessert by a small window while observing the lake's underwater ecology. The beautiful scenery of blooming lotuses in summer is also not to be missed!
