Beishan Broadcasting Wall Introduction
"Dear compatriots from the mainland, hello, I am Teresa Teng..." Her clear voice resonates from the enormous broadcasting device at the Beishan Broadcasting Wall, located on the Beishan Cliff. Together with the Mazu Broadcasting Station at the Mashan Observation Post, they were frontline facilities used during the Kinmen battlefield period for psychological warfare, broadcasting news, propaganda, commentary, and messages to persuade surrender in Mandarin and Minnan languages. The broadcasting equipment used for psychological warfare was also a primary target during wartime attacks, making the towering Beishan Broadcasting Wall a defensive structure protecting the broadcasting station. The front is composed of 48 speaker arrays, with a sound propagation range of 25 kilometers. The unique honeycomb shape makes it a popular spot for photographs, whether standing next to the broadcasting wall or taking upward shots from the cliff below! Broadcasting times are 09:00-09:30, 10:30-11:00, 13:00-13:30, 14:00-14:30, 15:00-15:30, and 16:00-16:30.
