Beishan Broadcasting Wall Introduction
"Hello dear compatriots from the mainland, I am Teresa Teng..." The clear voice of Teresa Teng comes from the giant speakers at the Beishan Broadcasting Wall, located on the Beishan Cliff. Along with the Matsu Observation Station's Matsu Broadcasting Station, it served as a front line for psychological warfare during the Kinmen battlefield period, broadcasting news, propaganda, comments, and surrender messages in Mandarin and Minnan languages. The broadcasting equipment used for psychological warfare was also a primary target during the war, so the towering Beishan Broadcasting Wall served as a defensive structure to protect the broadcasting station. The front features a formation of 48 loudspeakers, capable of transmitting sound up to 25 kilometers. Its unique honeycomb shape makes it a popular spot for photos, whether standing beside the broadcasting wall or taking pictures from below the cliff. Broadcasting times: 09:00-09:30, 10:30-11:00, 13:00-13:30, 14:00-14:30, 15:00-15:30, 16:00-16:30.
