Beishan Broadcasting Wall Introduction
"Dear fellow compatriots from the mainland, hello, I am Teresa Teng..." The clear voice of Teresa Teng comes from the large loudspeakers at the Beishan Broadcasting Wall, located on the Beishan Cliff. Along with the Matsu Observation Station's broadcasting site, it was used during the Kinmen battlefield period for psychological warfare, broadcasting news, propaganda, commentary, and surrender messages in Mandarin and Hokkien. The broadcasting equipment used in psychological warfare was also a primary target during the war, making the towering Beishan Broadcasting Wall a defensive structure that protected the broadcasting station. The front features a formation made up of 48 loudspeakers, with sound that can travel up to 25 kilometers. Its unique honeycomb shape makes it a popular spot for photos, whether standing next to the broadcasting wall or looking up at it from below the cliff. Broadcasting times are as follows: 09:00-09:30, 10:30-11:00, 13:00-13:30, 14:00-14:30, 15:00-15:30, 16:00-16:30.
