Beishan Broadcasting Wall Introduction
"Dear compatriots from the mainland, hello, I am Teresa Teng..." Her crisp voice echoed from the massive loudspeakers at the Beishan Broadcasting Wall, situated on the Beishan Cliff. Together with the Matsu Broadcasting Station at the Matsu Observation Post, it served as a frontline for psychological warfare during the Kinmen battlefield period, broadcasting news, propaganda, commentary, and messages aimed at persuading surrender in Mandarin and Minnan languages. The broadcasting equipment used for psychological warfare also became a primary target during the war, making the towering Beishan Broadcasting Wall a defensive structure that protected the broadcasting station. The front features an array of 48 speakers, with a sound range of 25 kilometers. Its unique honeycomb shape makes it a popular spot for taking photos, whether standing next to the broadcasting wall or photographing it from below the cliff. Broadcasting times: 09:00-09:30, 10:30-11:00, 13:00-13:30, 14:00-14:30, 15:00-15:30, 16:00-16:30.
