Lu-Zai Port Squid Meat Soup Introduction
Founded in 1983 by the Hsu brothers, driven by their passion and dedication to the folk snacks of Lugang. They carefully select plump, Argentine imported squid, which is peeled to reduce fishy odor, resulting in thick, crispy, and delicious meat. Fresh fish paste is paired with exclusive meat broth made from fresh pork shoulder, combined with fresh high-quality ingredients like crunchy bamboo shoots from Fenchihu, wood ear mushrooms, and squid. When served, two or three pieces of deep-fried meat are added on top, releasing a fragrant aroma. A steaming bowl of squid meat broth is the restaurant's most popular signature snack and embodies the most down-to-earth traditional snacks of Lugang.
