Luzaigang Squid Soup

Changhua Foods

In 1983, the Hsu brothers founded the restaurant out of their love and passion for the street food of Lugang. They carefully selected plump squid imported from Argentina, which are peeled to reduce the fishy taste, resulting in thick and crispy meat. The fresh fish paste is paired with exclusive meat thick soup made from freshly slaughtered pork neck meat, complemented by fresh ingredients like crunchy bamboo shoots from Fenchihu, black fungus, and squid. The dish is finished with two or three pieces of deep-fried meat served on top, filling the air with a delightful aroma. A steaming bowl of squid meat thick soup is the restaurant's most popular signature snack and represents the most accessible traditional snack of Lugang.
