Jia Yi Mulberry Introduction
In the Tsukamoto area of our township, Mr. Huang Zhengyuan decided to promote mulberries as a health food and resolutely chose to cultivate them. The farm adopts an eco-friendly approach by using environmentally friendly tarps, avoiding the use of chemical pesticides (weeding and pest control are done manually), and utilizing natural organic fertilizers to promote the growth of fruit trees, ensuring cleanliness and quality of the fruit. With technical support and guidance from the Miaoli Branch of the Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan, continuous research and improvement of new varieties (Taiwan native species, new varieties such as Black Diamond, etc.) and the development of related products (mulberry enzyme, mulberry acid enzyme, mulberry paste, frozen fresh mulberries, mulberry leaf gummies, mulberry soft candies, etc.) are actively pursued. The mulberry farm is located beside the Beigang River in our township, offering a simple rural landscape and scenic views suitable for outdoor teaching for schools and guided activities for organizations. It provides introductions to tree species and their functions, seedlings for purchase and planting promotion, and mulberry picking activities. Everyone is welcome to provide feedback and contact Mr. Huang Zhengyuan to make a reservation.
