Shuilin Tongtian Temple Introduction
The Taiwan Wang Yeh Temple in Shuilin is dedicated to the worship of the god Wen Fu Chien Sui, serving as the faith center for the villages of Shuibei and Shuinan. Local ancestors are said to have come to Taiwan for land reclamation during the late Ming Dynasty with Yan Siqi, and the worship of Wang Yeh has a history of over three hundred years. Every five years during the Wang sacrifice festival, the local community invites the five-year-old deity from Maming Mountain and the goddess Mazu from Beigang to participate in the procession.
