The Kai-Tai Wen Wang Yeh Shuilin Tongtian Temple is dedicated to the deity Wen Fu Qiansui and serves as a center of worship for the two villages of Shui Bei and Shui Nan. Local ancestral tradition states that they came to Taiwan for colonization during the late Ming Dynasty with Yan Sih-chi, and the worship of Wen Wang Yeh has a history of over three hundred years. Every five years during the Wang Festival, it is customary to invite the Five-Year Qiansui from Ma Ming Mountain and Mazu of Beigang to participate in the pilgrimage.

Shuilin Tongtian Temple Introduction

The Taiwan Wang Yeh Temple in Shuilin is dedicated to the worship of the god Wen Fu Chien Sui, serving as the faith center for the villages of Shuibei and Shuinan. Local ancestors are said to have come to Taiwan for land reclamation during the late Ming Dynasty with Yan Siqi, and the worship of Wang Yeh has a history of over three hundred years. Every five years during the Wang sacrifice festival, the local community invites the five-year-old deity from Maming Mountain and the goddess Mazu from Beigang to participate in the procession.
