Zheng Fengxi was born with two uniquely different feet; his right foot curved in various directions below the knee, while his left foot suffered from atrophy. When his mother first saw him, she fainted, fearing that their struggling family would not be able to support him. However, Zheng Fengxi persevered through difficulties and graduated from university, achieving great success. He documented his arduous journey of growth and education in a heartfelt book called "A Boat in the Vast Ocean," which became a bestseller, selling over a million copies and was adapted into a film, resonating with society. He was later elected as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons and became a spiritual exemplar for youth with disabilities, demonstrating the spirit of perseverance and striving for success despite challenges. His former residence, though simply a traditional three-compound house, contains many remnants of Zheng Fengxi's life, including tools, books, and musical instruments he used. This site is preserved for its historical and cultural significance, aiming to promote Zheng Fengxi's unwavering spirit of struggle and perseverance.
