Wendi Bird Watching Area Introduction
Wendi is located by the Beigang River in Shuilin Township. This area is close to the river's estuary and has broad floodplain land, providing an abundance of food sources such as fish, shrimp, and shellfish, making it very suitable for waterbirds. The wetlands at Wendi have recorded dozens of bird species, including Black-headed Gulls, Caspian Terns, Red Knots, Sandpipers, Great Egrets, and Northern Shovellers, making it a rich birdwatching resource. Relevant authorities are currently planning to designate this area as a birdwatching theme zone and a wetland ecology conservation area. Wendi is close to the estuary of the Beigang River, and bicycle paths are still being planned. There are also painted patterns in the surrounding area, allowing people to ride bikes or stroll in the future and enjoy the most relaxing and leisurely time.
