Wendi Bird Watching Area Introduction
Wenti is located by the Beigang River in Shuilin Township. This area, due to its proximity to the mouth of the Beigang River and the expansive riverbank, is rich in food sources such as fish, shrimp, and shellfish, making it very suitable for waterbirds to inhabit. Numerous bird species have been recorded in the Wenti wetlands, including Black-headed Gull, Caspian Tern, Godwit, Sandpiper, Great Egret, and Northern Shoveler, among others, providing abundant birdwatching resources. Relevant authorities are currently planning to designate this area as a birdwatching theme area and a wetland ecological conservation zone. Wenti, close to the mouth of the Beigang River, is also in the process of planning a bike path, and there are colorful painted patterns in the surroundings, allowing visitors to cycle or stroll here in the future and enjoy the most relaxing leisure time.
