Wendi Bird Watching Area Introduction
Wendi is located by the Beigang River in Shuilin Township. This area is close to the river's mouth, and the vast riverbank allows for abundant food sources such as fish, shrimp, and shellfish, making it highly suitable for waterbirds. A variety of bird species have been recorded in the Wendi wetland, including Black-headed Gulls, Caspian Terns, Godwits, Sandpipers, Grey Herons, and Gadwalls, among dozens of others, providing rich birdwatching resources. Relevant authorities are currently planning to designate this area as a birdwatching theme park and a wetland ecological conservation area. Wendi, near the Beigang River's mouth, is also planning a bicycle lane, and there are painted patterns nearby, allowing visitors to bike or stroll in the future and enjoy a relaxing and leisurely time.
