Wendi is located along the banks of the Beigang River in Shui-Lin Township. This area, due to its proximity to the mouth of the Beigang River and its expansive riverine floodplain, is rich in food sources such as fish, shrimp, and shellfish, making it an ideal habitat for water birds. Several bird species have been recorded in the Wendi wetland, including black-headed gulls, Caspian terns, godwits, sandpipers, herons, and pintails, with a total of dozens of species observed. The birdwatching resources here are quite abundant, and relevant authorities are planning to designate this area as a birdwatching theme park and a wetland ecological conservation area. Wendi, near the mouth of the Beigang River, is currently in the planning phase for a bike path, and there are also colorful murals in the vicinity, making it a future spot for cycling or strolling, enjoying the most relaxing leisure time.
