Renzihao Sakura Shrimp Introduction

The Renzihao originally started as a small stall near the Donggang dock headed towards Xiaoliuqiu in 1979. In its early days, it sold Donggang seafood products daily using a hand-pulled cart near the dock. The previous generation relied on fishing for their livelihood, which deepened their understanding of seafood processing. The family’s traditional seafood processing methods and products became Renzihao's signature offerings and reputation. One of Renzihao's original products, the sakura shrimp, is found only in Shizuoka, Japan, and Donggang, Taiwan. Early on, Donggang was locally referred to as "Huajia" where sakura shrimp grew at depths of 150 to 300 meters, thriving in unpolluted waters, resulting in sweet and tender meat rich in nutrients such as protein, calcium, phosphorus, chitin, chitosan, and astaxanthin, making it particularly prized by the Japanese.
