Renzihao Sakura Shrimp Introduction
In 1979, Renzihao originally started as a small vendor near the Donggang ferry terminal to Xiaoliuqiu. In the early days of the business, they used a pushcart to sell Donggang's seafood products daily near the terminal. With the previous generation relying on fishing for a living, they had a better understanding of seafood handling. The family's traditional methods and products became the foundation and reputation of Renzihao. One of the founding products, sakura shrimp, is only produced in Shizuoka, Japan, and Donggang, Taiwan. In the early days, Donggang was locally referred to as “Huabao,” where sakura shrimp grew in deep waters at depths of 150 to 300 meters, free from pollution, resulting in a sweet and nutritious meat rich in protein, calcium, phosphorus, chitin, chitosan, and astaxanthin, which is highly regarded by the Japanese.
