Qinshan Farm Introduction

Qingshan Farm is located beside the Guanshan Circular Bicycle Path, operated by the owner Lai Shan-neng and his father. Initially focused on planting Guanshan rice, over a decade ago they broke away from traditional frameworks and transformed the farmland into a tourist farm, introducing strawberry cultivation from Dahu. This innovative endeavor was not well-received by local farmers at the time, and the path of innovation was not smooth. However, the father and son duo, fueled by their love for the land, believed that Taitung's beautiful mountains and waters are just as good as Dahu, and persevered with the spirit of "Why not?". It was quite rare to see strawberries in Taitung, so the strawberries they initially planted were often stolen. During the transformation of the farm, they also faced challenges adjusting to direct interactions with customers. The farm is still in a transitional phase, facing threats of crop damage and various challenges of becoming a tourist farm, but Lai Shan-neng and his father continue to persevere, working hard toward their dream. = Slow Food Experience = 2014 Third Individual Production Table Evaluation Most Creative Ingredient Development Award
