Qinshan Farm Introduction
Qin Mountain Farm is located beside the Guanshan Circular Bike Path. It is operated by the young owner Lai Shan-neng and his father. Initially focused on cultivating Guanshan rice, over a decade ago they broke away from the old framework and transformed the traditional farmland into a tourist farm, introducing strawberry cultivation from Dahu. This innovative endeavor was not well-received by local farmers at the time, and the path of innovation was not always smooth. However, the father and son, driven by their affection for the land, believed that Taitung's beautiful mountains and waters are just as good as Dahu, persevering with the spirit of "Why not?" Initially, strawberries were quite rare in Taitung, leading to frequent thefts of the crops. During the farm's transformation, they also faced the challenges of directly interacting with customers, requiring adjustments and adaptations. The farm is still in a transitional phase, facing various challenges such as crop damage and the transition to a tourist farm.
