Qinshan Farm Introduction
Qingshan Farm is located next to the Guanshan Round-the-Town Cycling Path and is operated by Shanneng Lai and his father. Initially focused on planting Guanshan rice, they broke through the old framework more than a decade ago, transforming traditional farmland into an agritourism farm and introducing strawberry cultivation from Dahu. This innovative initiative was not looked upon favorably by local farmers at the time, and the path to innovation was not smooth. However, the father and son, driven by their passion for the land, believed that Taitung's beautiful mountains and waters were just as good as Dahu, persisting with the spirit of "why not?" Perhaps because strawberries are rare in Taitung, the strawberries they first planted were often stolen. The farm's transformation also faced the challenges of adapting to meet customer needs. It is still in a transitional phase, coping with crop damage and various challenges of transforming into an agritourism farm. Nonetheless, Shanneng Lai and his father continue to hold on and work hard towards their dream. = Slow Food Experience = 2014 Third Individual Farm-to-Table Selection Most Creative Ingredient Development Award.
