Oyster Omelette Introduction

When it comes to the origin of Hsinchu Gūgēng, none other than Mr. Lin is the rightful founder. Over sixty years ago, Mr. Lin's father was a vendor selling sweet soups and candies. When it was passed down to Mr. Lin, he came up with the idea of selling Gūgēng. As a result, Mr. Lin's Gūgēng has become the oldest and most famous in Hsinchu's history. He has been in business for decades without ever revealing the store's name, yet customers always flock to his shop. The Gūgēng features ingredients that the owner has spent years researching and improving, including fish Gūgēng, cilantro, shredded bamboo shoots, and the chewy fish Gūgēng. There are two types of fish Gūgēng—one red and one white—differing in color and taste, making it a local delicacy worth trying for yourself.
