Gua Bao Soup Introduction
When it comes to the origin of Hsinchu Gōng Gēng, there's no one else but Lin Laobao. Over sixty years ago, Lin Laobao's father was a vendor selling sweet soups and candies. When it came to Lin Laobao, he had a flash of inspiration and started selling soups. As a result, Lin Laobao's soup has become the oldest and most famous in Hsinchu. Despite running the business for decades without revealing the name of the shop, customers always come in droves. The soup contains ingredients that the owner has improved upon over the years, including fish soup, cilantro, bamboo shoots, and fish balls with a great bite. There are two types of fish soup, one red and one white, with different colors and flavors, making it a local delicacy worth tasting in person.
