Taro and Sweet Potato (Taro and Sweet Potato Tea House) Introduction
Shengping Theater is located on Shuci Road in Jiufen, an important pedestrian walkway in Jiufen and one of the main scenes of the movie "A City of Sadness." Consequently, it is always bustling with people during weekends. Along both sides of the stairs, tea houses have naturally clustered, among which "Yuzai Sweet Potato" is a very special old tea house. Its entrance resembles a cave tunnel, and inside it features the old-style buildings of Jiufen's mountain town. The owner has collected numerous antiques, creating a strong nostalgic atmosphere. As Shuci Road is a staircase road that ascends in layers, the tea house has been established gradually along the slope, allowing visitors inside to enjoy beautiful views of the mountains and the sea. The owner offers Jiufen's specialty purple sweet potato, which has a rich and soft texture. Additionally, the shop provides local dishes such as Mapo Tofu and stir-fried mountain pork, making visitors feel very much at home.
