Hai Yue Lou is a four-story building located next to Shuxi Road, directly above the Shengping Theater, situated in one of the best scenic spots in Jiufen. With views of the mountains and the sea, visitors can admire many famous tea houses in the Jiufen area from above, such as Dream of Life, Golden Country, A-Mei Tea House, Taro Sweet Potato Tea House, Little Shanghai Tea House, Ancient Window, Jiu Hu Tea Language, and Water Heart Moon Tea House. It also offers a view down to the Shengping Theater and a distant view of Keelung Mountain, as well as sea and mountain landscapes. The entire building features a rustic iron gray color that reflects the local flavor, harmonizing with the ethereal scenery of the four seasons. The simple and unadorned straight and curved lines, along with a lot of exposed pebble work, showcase a distinctive Taiwanese style. Upon entering the tea house, visitors are greeted by curtains filled with Chinese elements, wooden barrels filled with fruit, and jars of wine on the floor.
