Tamsui Red House Cafe Introduction
The Red House was completed in 1899 after a construction period of four and a half years. Over the years, it has changed hands multiple times. In the 1980s, it faced the threat of demolition for a high-rise building, but thanks to the determination of the owner’s grandmother, it was preserved after more than ten years of neglect. After the metro service began, the Tamsui town revived, and with the help of many friends and cultural workers, the owner’s family started restoration in 1999, and it officially opened in January 2000, embodying the spirit of "revitalizing historical sites." Recommended dishes: spaghetti, steak, afternoon tea.
