Bulo Kitchen Introduction
The name "Bu Lao" comes from the owner's English name "Bruce." The restaurant specializes in Western vegetarian cuisine, and there are live performances during weekdays that emphasize the laid-back atmosphere. Pizza and vegetarian dishes are the highlights here; however, pesto pasta and baked rice dishes are also very popular. The chef states that the must-try dishes include Margherita pizza, mushroom with oil and vinegar, and Hungarian fried potatoes. The Hungarian fried potatoes are made by cutting the potatoes into chunks, parboiling them until they're about 60% cooked, then deep-frying them over low heat until they are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The dish is then sautéed with onions, minced garlic, and bay leaves, followed by the addition of black pepper and Hungarian paprika, resulting in intricate craftsmanship and a stunning flavor. Another signature dish, oil and vinegar mushrooms, features premium mushrooms sautéed with garlic and seasoned with aged vinegar, making it both delicious and healthy—a must-try for many connoisseurs visiting here.
