Erbazi Botanical Garden Introduction
The ErbaZi Botanical Garden features a forest landscape comprised of natural and secondary forests, primarily consisting of trees, shrubs, and flowering plants. The park not only offers a wide-open view filled with greenery but also has several hiking trails, a central plaza, a management center, and sports areas, showcasing the rich environment within the park. It is home to interesting plants such as "Jiangmo" and "Mountain Pork," inviting visitors to discover them. The garden is a popular destination for nature walks in the suburbs of the Greater Taipei area, ideal for spending quality time with friends and family on weekends, temporarily escaping the bustle of the city to experience the beauty of the mountains and forests. Located in the Ankeng area of the Xindian District, the green gem of ErbaZi sits atop Tutanshan, with its name derived from the valley terrain of the Ankeng region. According to legend, ancestors, looking down from a height, saw the gentle hills of the valley resembling an eight and an inverted eight, which together formed "Erba" (二八). It is adjacent to several large mountainous communities such as Daguan Town, Rose China Town, and Taipei Little City. The ErbaZi Botanical Garden spans an impressive 150 hectares. In the morning, walking through the forest of ErbaZi, the phytoncide invigorates the spirit. The gently paved hiking trails along the banks of ErbaZi Creek are easy to navigate, with planned pathways for families, cherry blossom trails, miscanthus trails, winding fern trails,九節木 (Bamboo-like Plant) trails,油桐 (Aleurites) trails, and butterfly trails. Numerous plant information boards have been set up along the way to enhance understanding of the plant world. The Ankeng Light Rail Transit has recently been inaugurated, making public transportation extremely convenient. Since the operation of the Ankeng Light Rail, accessing the ErbaZi Botanical Garden has become easier. Visitors can take the Ankeng Light Rail to "Kengshin Ankang Hospital Station" and transfer to bus route 839 or transfer to the Ankeng 1 Line shuttle at "Taipei Little City Station." It takes only about 10-15 minutes to reach the ErbaZi Botanical Garden, leading to a leisurely ecological journey!
