Erbashu Botanical Garden Introduction
Erba Zi Botanical Garden boasts a unique landscape where natural and secondary forests coexist, featuring a variety of trees, shrubs, and flowering plants. The park not only offers expansive views and lush greenery but also includes several hiking trails, a central plaza, a management center, and sports areas, showcasing the rich environment within the park. Interesting plants such as "Jiangmou" and "wild boar meat" await your discovery. It is a popular spring outing destination near the Taipei metropolitan area, perfect for spending time with family and friends on weekends, allowing visitors to temporarily escape the hustle and bustle of the city and experience the beauty of the mountains and forests. Located in the Ankang area of New Taipei City, the Erba Zi in the Tutan Mountain is named after its geographical features, where it is said that ancestors, looking down from a height, observed the rolling hills in the valley resembling an eight and an inverted eight, hence the name "Erba Zi" (meaning "two eights"). The garden is near several large mountainous communities, including Daguan Town, Rose China Town, and Taipei Small City. Spanning an impressive 150 hectares, a stroll in the Erba Zi's forest in the morning invigorates the spirit with phytoncides. The hiking trails along the Erba Zi Stream are gentle and easy to walk, featuring family-friendly paths, cherry blossom trails, miscanthus paths, clubmoss paths, bamboo paths, tung oil tree paths, and butterfly trails. Along the way, various plant interpretation signs are set up to further understand the plant world. The newly launched Ankang Light Rail shuttle service makes public transportation to the Erba Zi Botanical Garden more convenient. Visitors can take the Ankang Light Rail to "Gengxin Ankang Hospital Station" and transfer to the 839 bus, or transfer to the Ankang Line shuttle at "Taipei Small City Station." It only takes about 10-15 minutes to reach Erba Zi Botanical Garden, embarking on a leisurely ecological journey!
