Erbazi Botanical Garden Introduction
Erba Garden boasts a unique ecosystem where natural and secondary forests coexist, primarily featuring trees, shrubs, and flowering plants. The park offers a wide-open vista filled with lush greenery, and is equipped with multiple hiking trails, a core plaza, a management center, and a sports area, showcasing the area's rich biodiversity. It also features interesting plants such as "Kang Koo" and "Mountain Pig Meat" for visitors to explore. This makes it a perfect spot for a nature outing from the bustling Taipei metropolitan area, ideal for a day trip with family and friends to experience the beauty of the mountains and forests. Located on Mt. Tu-Tan in the An-Keng area of New Taipei City, Erba is named after the valley shape resembling the Chinese characters for "two" and "eight" (二 and 八), hence the name "Erba." It is close to several large mountainous communities, including Daguan Township, Rose China Town, and Taipei Little City. Spanning 150 hectares, visitors walking through the forest of Erba in the morning can enjoy the invigorating phytoncides. The trails along the Erba Stream are gentle and easy to navigate, offering pathways such as a children’s trail, cherry blossom trail, Miscanthus trail, Selaginella trail, bamboo shoot trail, Tung tree trail, and butterfly trail, with numerous plant explanation boards along the way to deepen the understanding of the plant world. The new An-Keng Light Rail shuttle bus has improved public transportation access significantly. After the opening of the An-Keng Light Rail, visiting Erba Garden has become even more convenient. Visitors can take the An-Keng Light Rail to the "Luzhou Kick" station, transfer to bus No. 839, or at the "Taipei Little City Station," switch to the An-Keng Line shuttle bus, which takes only about 10-15 minutes to reach Erba Garden, embarking on a leisurely ecological journey!
