Erba Plant Garden Introduction
The Erbazi Botanical Garden boasts a forest landscape where natural forests and secondary forests coexist, primarily featuring trees, shrubs, and flowering plants. The park offers expansive views filled with greenery and includes several hiking trails, a central square, a management center, and sports areas, showcasing the rich environment within. Located in the Ankeng area of Xindian, the lush Erbazi lies on the summit of Tutanshan, and its name relates to the valley topography of Ankeng. According to legend, ancestors looking down saw the gentle hills in the valley resembling both a "8" and an inverted "8", together referred to as "Erba," hence the name "Erbazi." It is close to several large mountain communities such as Daguan Town, Rose China Town, and Taipei Little Town. Covering an extensive area of 150 hectares, a morning walk in the Erbazi's mountains rejuvenates the spirit with phytoncides. The well-paved hiking trails along the Ergazi River are easy to navigate, featuring paths for families, cherry blossom trails, miscanthus trails, Selaginella trails, bamboo trails, tung tree trails, and butterfly trails. Along the way, numerous plant explanation boards provide deeper insights into the botanical world. With the newly launched Ankeng Light Rail shuttle, public transportation has become even more convenient. After the opening of the Ankeng Light Rail, access to the Erbazi Botanical Garden is easier than ever. You can take the Ankeng Light Rail to "Gengxin Ankang Hospital Station" and transfer to bus number 839, or switch to the Ankeng Line shuttle bus at "Taipei Little Town Station," arriving at the Erbazi Botanical Garden in just about 10-15 minutes for a leisurely ecological journey!
