Yun Yi Workshop Introduction
Teacher Peng Yufeng has been diligently promoting weaving techniques since the establishment of her workshop. She is one of the four weaving seed instructors in the Wulai area. In addition to teaching the local community, she has also been teaching weaving techniques at the junior high department of Wulai National Primary and Secondary School for many years, as she sees the transmission of Atayal weaving art as her most important mission. Teacher Peng's Atayal name is "Sāyùn," which is why the workshop is named "Yùnyì," meaning the weaving art of Sāyùn. Teacher Peng mentioned that in the past, weaving was a necessary life skill, but now there are fewer people who are willing to teach and weave since it is no longer a necessity.
