Rhythmic Art Workshop Introduction
Teacher Peng Yufeng has been working hard to promote weaving techniques since establishing her workshop. She is one of the four weaving seed teachers in the Wulai area. In addition to teaching community members, she has also been teaching weaving techniques at the junior high school level of Wulai National Primary and Junior High School for a long time, as she sees the inheritance of Atayal weaving as her most important mission. Teacher Peng Yufeng's Atayal name is "Sāyùn," and thus the workshop is named "Yùnyì," which means the weaving art of Sāyùn. Teacher Peng Yufeng says that in the past, weaving was an essential life skill, but now, because people no longer need to weave for themselves, there are not many who are willing to teach or weave.
