Wulai Tourist Center Introduction
Wulai is a famous mountainous township in northern Taiwan, located in a water source protection area, primarily inhabited by the Atayal people. It is situated at the confluence of the Nanshi River and the Tonghou River, where towering peaks rise on both sides and the winding streams create breathtaking landscapes. Wulai is well known for its hot springs, cable cars, waterfalls, and the Yunhsien Leisure Park. The name "Wulai" is believed to originate from the Atayal indigenous language, meaning "hot spring," which underscores the fame of its hot springs, characterized by a slightly alkaline carbonated composition that is clear and transparent. The Visitor Center is a three-story building located at the entrance of the Wulai multi-story parking lot and Wulai Old Street, serving as the first stop for visitors arriving in the Wulai Scenic Area. To learn more about travel information in Wulai, visitors can access comprehensive details through brochures available in the center and inquire with the on-site staff. Additionally, the second floor of the visitor center provides tables and chairs for guests to rest.
