Wulai Visitor Center Introduction
Wulai is a famous mountainous township in northern Taiwan, located within a watershed protection area. The majority of its residents are of the Atayal tribe. It sits at the confluence of the Nanshi River and Tonghou River, where towering peaks flank both sides and winding streams create stunning mountain and water landscapes. Wulai is renowned for its hot springs, cable cars, waterfalls, and Yunxian Paradise. The name "Wulai" is said to originate from the Atayal indigenous language, meaning "hot spring," which speaks to the area's notable hot springs, characterized by weakly alkaline carbonated water that is clear and transparent. The visitor service center, a three-story building, is located at the entrance of the Wulai multi-story parking lot and Wulai Old Street, serving as the first stop for tourists arriving at the Wulai Scenic Area. For more travel information about Wulai, visitors can obtain comprehensive details through the tourist brochures available inside the center and the on-site staff. Additionally, the second floor of the visitor center provides tables and chairs for guests to rest.
