Wulai Visitor Center Introduction
Wulai is a famous mountainous township in northern Taiwan, located in a water source protection area, predominantly inhabited by the Atayal people. At the confluence of the Nanshi River and the Tonghou River, the towering peaks on both sides and the winding streams create stunning mountain and water scenery, known for its hot springs, tramway, waterfalls, and Yunxian Paradise. It is said that the term "Wulai" originally comes from the Atayal indigenous language, meaning "hot spring," and thus the local hot springs are also quite famous, with a slightly alkaline carbonated water source that is clear and transparent. The Visitor Service Center is a three-story building located at the entrance of Wulai's multi-story parking lot and Wulai Old Street, serving as the first stop for visitors arriving in the Wulai Scenic Area. For more information about traveling in Wulai, visitors can obtain comprehensive information through brochures available in the center and via on-site staff. Additionally, the second floor of the Tourist Center provides tables and chairs for visitors to rest.
