Wulai Visitor Center Introduction
Wulai is a famous mountainous township in northern Taiwan, located in a water source protection area. The majority of the residents are of the Atayal tribe, and it lies at the confluence of the Nanshi Creek and the Tonghou Creek. The peaks on both sides are towering, and the stream meanders through, creating a breathtaking mountain-water landscape, famous for its hot springs, scenic tramway, waterfalls, and Yunxian Paradise. It is said that the term "Wulai" originally comes from the Atayal indigenous language, meaning "hot spring," thus the area's hot springs are quite famous, featuring a weakly alkaline carbonated spring, clear and transparent. The Visitor Center is a three-story building located at the entrance of the Wulai multi-story parking lot and Wulai Old Street, serving as the first stop for visitors arriving in the Wulai Scenic Area. For more comprehensive travel information about Wulai, visitors can obtain brochures and information from on-site staff. Additionally, the second floor of the Visitor Center provides tables and chairs for visitors to rest.
