Wulai Visitor Center Introduction
Wulai is a famous mountainous township in northern Taiwan, located within a water source protection area, predominantly inhabited by the Atayal people. It is situated at the confluence of the Nanshi River and the Tonghou River, flanked by towering mountain peaks and serpentine streams that create a stunning landscape. The area is known for its hot springs, tramway, waterfalls, and the Yunxian Paradise. The name "Wulai" is believed to originate from the Atayal language, meaning "hot spring," which corresponds to the local hot springs that are quite famous, characterized by a weak alkaline carbonated composition and clear, transparent water. The Visitor Center is a three-story building located at the entrance of the Wulai multi-story parking lot and Wulai Old Street, serving as the first stop for visitors arriving at the Wulai Scenic Area. For more information on travel in Wulai, visitors can obtain detailed information through brochures available in the center and from on-site staff. Additionally, the second floor of the Visitor Center provides tables and chairs for visitors to rest.
