Wulai Visitor Center Introduction
Wulai is a renowned mountainous township in northern Taiwan, located within a water conservation area. The majority of its residents are from the Atayal tribe, and it is situated at the confluence of the Nanshi River and the Tonghou River. The surrounding peaks rise majestically, and the meandering streams create stunning mountain and water landscapes, famous for hot springs, cable cars, waterfalls, and the Yunxian Paradise. According to legend, the name "Wulai" originally comes from the Atayal indigenous language, meaning "hot spring," which makes the local hot springs quite famous. The spring water is a mildly alkaline carbonated spring, clear and transparent. The Visitor Service Center is a three-story building located at the entrance of the Wulai multi-story parking lot and Wulai Old Street, serving as the first stop for visitors arriving at the Wulai Scenic Area. For more travel information about Wulai, visitors can obtain complete information through the brochures available in the center and from the onsite staff. Additionally, the second floor of the visitor center provides tables and chairs for guests to rest.
