Yayen Japanese Charcoal Grill was established in June 2002 and is owned by Huada Management Consulting Co., Ltd. It was founded by two individuals from the Class of '75 after observing the dining ecosystem in Taiwan, opening its first branch in Banqiao. By the end of 2003, Yayen rapidly expanded across the island. The reason for Yayen's quick growth lies in standardizing each step of the process, allowing franchisees with no relevant experience to quickly get on track with the support of the headquarters, recover costs, and gain profits. The key to Yayen's success also lies in its unique flavors; the Yayen team traveled all the way to Japan to seek inspiration and find traditional Japanese barbecue sauces, which they then mixed and adjusted upon returning to Taiwan.
