Ye Yan Japanese Charcoal Grilled Meat was established in June 2002 and is operated and managed by Huada Enterprise Management Co., Ltd. Founded by two graduates from the class of 1972 after observing the food and beverage ecology in Taiwan, the first Ye Yan restaurant opened in Banqiao. By the end of 2003, Ye Yan rapidly expanded throughout the country. The reason for Ye Yan's swift growth is the standardization of each step, allowing franchisees with no prior experience to quickly get on track with the support from the headquarters, recoup costs, and generate profits. The key to Ye Yan's success also lies in its unique flavors; the Ye Yan team once traveled to Japan to learn about traditional barbecue sauces, which they then adapted back in Taiwan.
