Ye Yan Japanese Charcoal Grill was established in June 2002 and is owned by Huada Enterprise Management Co., Ltd. It was founded by two individuals born in the 1970s who, after observing Taiwan's culinary ecosystem, opened Ye Yan Japanese Charcoal Grill in Banqiao. By the end of 2003, Ye Yan quickly expanded throughout the country. The reason for Ye Yan's rapid growth is the standardization of each step, allowing franchisees with no prior experience to quickly get on track with the guidance of the headquarters, recover costs, and obtain profits. The key to Ye Yan's success also lies in its unique flavor; the Ye Yan team traveled all the way to Japan to study traditional Japanese barbecue sauces, which were then innovatively blended upon returning to Taiwan.
