Dongshi Old Railway Station and Hakka Cultural Park Introduction
The Dongshi Hakka Cultural Museum, located in the Dongshi Hakka Cultural Park, is housed in a former Dongshi Railway Station, which has been renovated. The original station platform, waiting room entrance shelter, and other facilities were removed due to their aging structure. However, a long bench used by passengers while waiting for their trains has been intentionally preserved in the exhibition room modified from the waiting room. Behind the Hakka Cultural Museum is the Dongfeng Greenway bicycle path, where lush greenery offers a scenic view of the mountain town in the distance. This site has become one of the new landmarks for tourism in Taichung County.
