The Shigang Tuyou Hakka Cultural Center is reconstructed from the Liu's old house in Tuyou Village, which is rich in Dapu Hakka characteristics. The Liu's old house is an important symbol in the history of Hakka development in the mountainous city. It was completely destroyed in the 921 Earthquake, but after six years of efforts by the Liu family and a local working team, it has been restored to its original appearance and now serves as the Tuyou Hakka Cultural Center.

The purpose of the establishment of the Duyu Hakka Cultural Center is primarily to promote the inheritance of Hakka lifestyle and culture. The park also serves as a space for the daily lives of the Liu family descendants, as well as for conducting rituals and life customs. In addition to static exhibits, visitors can also actively participate in authentic Hakka life ceremonies and experience the vibrant and lively Hakka culture.
