The Shigang Tuniu Hakka Cultural Center is constructed from the Liu House Old Lodge in Tuniu Village, which is rich in Dapu Hakka characteristics. The Liu House Old Lodge is an important symbol of the history of Hakka development in the mountainous city, having collapsed completely due to the 921 earthquake. After six years of dedicated efforts from the Liu family and local working teams, it has been restored to its original appearance as the Tuniu Hakka Cultural Center.

The purpose of the establishment of the Tu Niu Hakka Cultural Center is primarily to promote the transmission of Hakka lifestyle and culture. The park also serves as a place for the Liu family descendants’ daily life, as well as for conducting ritual ceremonies and life customs. In addition to static exhibits, visitors can also actively participate in authentic Hakka life rituals, experiencing the vibrant and lively Hakka culture.
