"東香" is a phrase in Hakka that means "fragrant" (dungˊhiongˊ). The brand name comes from the expression "東香" that everyone says during the roasting of coffee beans! The coffee beans are sourced from indigenous coffee trees that have been cultivated in Dongshi Hakka Village since 1993. Through a unique hand-roasting technique, it creates the distinctive "light aroma, smooth taste, and sweet aftertaste" that Dongshi coffee is known for, while also preserving the best of Hakka flavors.
