Pear Orchard Leisure Agricultural Area Introduction
Li Village Leisure Agricultural Area has won the Excellence Award and Model Award in the evaluation of leisure agricultural areas for the years 2018 and 2021. The area integrates both soft and hard planning, including the Pear Cultural Center with guided tours, open fruit-picking for tourists, coffee and orchid production, hiking trails, unique landscapes, natural forest ecology, as well as ceramics, wood carving, and lacquer art projects. The region is filled with lush fruit orchards, creating the most beautiful scenery, with farmers working amidst them. Along the way, the bald cypress trees exhibit vibrant colors in autumn, and the tall five-needle pines stand strong and green, uncovering new vistas and surprises at every turn. Upon reaching the peak, depending on the season and climate, one might encounter a sea of clouds, mist, or the warm glow of sunset; each season presents a different beautiful spectacle! Due to the steep terrain, the forest composition is very rich, including five-needle pines, bald cypress, beech trees, sweet gum, cherry blossoms, and tung trees. In autumn, the entire mountain gradually adorns itself in vibrant colors, a sight to behold. The Li Village Leisure Agricultural Area is a place to cleanse the soul and relax the mind. At night, one can gaze upon the starry sky, listen to the sounds of insects and birds, and enjoy the natural living experience. Visitors are welcomed to embrace the slow life of slow food, slow living, and slow travel. The area has a rich ecological environment and is managed in an environmentally friendly way. In recent years, concerted efforts have led to successful firefly restoration, with a firefly viewing event starting in April every year, combining local Hakka cuisine as part of the "Earth Table" agricultural tour package, which has become one of the annual grand events of the Li Village Leisure Agricultural Area. During the pear tree adoption period, visitors can make reservations with farmers to personally experience the grafting and bagging process of pears at the farm, feel the beautiful and simple rural environment, and taste the freshest fruits, bringing back wonderful travel memories. Thematic tours include firefly viewing in Li Village, stag beetle ecology, high-grafting pear cultural tours, orchid combination pot planting, pottery DIY, lacquer art DIY experience, pear tree adoption, pear fruit bus, unique landscape art arrangement experience activities, and picnics. Crops produced include high-grafted pears, orchids, sweet persimmons, citrus fruits, dragon fruits, coffee, various types of bamboo shoots, plums, peaches, and more.
