Dongshi Forest Recreation Area Introduction
Dongshi Forest Recreation Area covers an area of 225 hectares, with a rich variety of forest types and an elevation between 500 to 700 meters. It has a mild winter and cool summer, with different scenic beauty in each season, earning it the nickname of "Eastern Yangmingshan." The area is currently managed by the Changhua County Farmers' Association, integrating flower viewing, bird watching, firefly watching, natural forest bathing, and the largest outdoor fitness training ground in the country. Adhering to the management philosophy of "friendliness and nature," Dongshi Forest Recreation Area has become a natural tourism hub in central Taiwan and a great choice for travelers visiting Taichung. The area also provides interpretation services, allowing visitors to gain rich ecological knowledge through lively and interesting presentations while enjoying their travels. Additionally, there are many plant signage boards available, making it an excellent place for tourists to walk and absorb knowledge about forest plants.
