Dongshi Forest Recreation Area Introduction
Dongshi Forest Recreation Area covers an area of 225 hectares, featuring rich forest ecology with an elevation between 500 to 700 meters. It enjoys a warm winter and cool summer, offering diverse seasonal landscapes, earning it the nickname of the "Yangmingshan of Eastern Taiwan." Currently managed by the Changhua County Farmers' Association, Dongshi Forest Recreation Area integrates flower viewing, bird watching, firefly watching, natural forest bathing, and the country's largest physical training mountain site. Following the business philosophy of "friendly and natural," it has transformed Dongshi Forest into a natural tourism hub in central Taiwan, making it an excellent choice for travelers to Taichung. The area also provides interpretation services, allowing visitors to gain rich ecological knowledge through engaging and interesting presentations, while numerous plant information signs are installed, making it an ideal place for tourists to stroll while absorbing knowledge about forest plants.
