Dongshi Forest Farm Introduction
Dongshi Forest Recreation Area covers an area of 225 hectares, featuring rich forest landscapes with an elevation ranging from 500 to 700 meters. It enjoys a warm winter and cool summer, with different seasonal views, earning it the nickname of the Eastern Yangmingshan. Currently managed by the Changhua County Farmers' Association, Dongshi Forest combines flower viewing, bird watching, firefly watching, natural forest bathing, and the largest physical training facility in the country under the philosophy of "friendly and natural." It has been developed into a natural tourism hub in central Taiwan and is a great choice for travelers visiting Taichung. The area also provides interpretation services, allowing visitors to gain rich ecological knowledge through lively and interesting introductions. Additionally, there are many plant identification signs throughout Dongshi Forest, making it an excellent place for tourists to absorb knowledge about forest plants while strolling.
