Dongshi Forest Garden Introduction
Dongshi Forest District covers an area of 225 hectares, featuring rich forest diversity with an elevation ranging from 500 to 700 meters. It enjoys a mild winter and a cool summer, with distinct scenic views in each season, earning it the nickname of the Eastern Yu-Shan Mountain. Currently managed by the Changhua County Farmers Association, Dongshi Forest District offers a blend of flower viewing, birdwatching, firefly observation, natural forest bathing, and the country's largest physical training mountain camp. With the management philosophy of "Friendly and Natural," Dongshi Forest District is developed into a natural tourism hub in Central Taiwan, making it a great choice for travelers heading to Taichung. The forest district also provides interpreter services, allowing visitors to gain rich ecological knowledge through engaging presentations while enjoying their tour. Additionally, plant explanation signs are widely available in the area, making it an excellent place for tourists to learn about forest plants while strolling.
