Gua Gua Garden Sweet Potato Ecological Story Museum (Tourism Factory) Introduction
Xinhua District is located south of the Tropic of Cancer and is rich in agricultural resources, particularly known for sweet potatoes, bamboo shoots, and pineapples. The Xinhua District Office has branded these three agricultural products as the "Three Treasures of Xinhua." Historically, sweet potatoes were primarily used as animal feed, but due to favorable conditions such as climate, geology, and farmers' techniques, the Xinhua area has flourished. To revive the glory of the "Sweet Potato Kingdom," the Xinhua Agricultural Association has guided farmers in establishing a sweet potato production and marketing class 16 years ago, creating the "Guaguayuan" sweet potato gourmet agricultural brand. This has led to the development of nearly twenty products derived from a single ingredient, French fries, including traditional flavors combined with convenience, such as microwaveable baked sweet potatoes. These are fragrant, chewy, and soft, enjoyed both cold and hot, and when paired with milk, they make for an excellent breakfast, being the best-selling product. Other offerings include sweet potato popsicles that retain the grainy texture and original flavor, golden sweet potato balls, sweet potato bamboo shoot dumplings, pearl balls, and black gold sweet potatoes.
