Sweet Potato Ecological Story Museum (Tourist Factory) Introduction
Xinhua District is located south of the Tropic of Cancer and is rich in agricultural resources, particularly renowned for sweet potatoes, bamboo shoots, and pineapples, which are collectively known as the "Three Treasures of Xinhua" by the Xinhua District Office. Sweet potatoes were historically mainly used as animal feed, but Xinhua's favorable climate, geology, and farming techniques have enhanced their cultivation. The Xinhua Farmers' Association, aiming to revive the glory of the "Kingdom of Sweet Potatoes", assisted farmers in establishing a sweet potato production and sales class 16 years ago, creating the "Gua Gua Yuan" sweet potato culinary brand. This brand has evolved from a single french fry component into nearly twenty different products, including traditional flavors and convenient frozen roasted sweet potatoes. These are aromatic, chewy, and soft, making them a delightful treat whether eaten cold or hot, and pairing them with milk makes for an excellent breakfast option, which is one of the best-selling products. Other offerings include sweet potato popsicles, golden sweet potato balls, sweet potato and bamboo shoot dumplings, pearl balls, and black gold sweet potatoes.
