Potato Ecological Story Museum (Tourist Factory) Introduction
Xinhua District is located south of the Tropic of Cancer and is rich in agricultural resources, particularly famous for sweet potatoes, bamboo shoots, and pineapples, which are collectively referred to as the "Three Treasures of Xinhua" by the Xinhua District Office. Sweet potatoes were originally used mainly as feed, but the Xinhua area is well-suited for their cultivation due to favorable conditions such as climate, geology, and farming techniques. To revitalize the reputation of the "Sweet Potato Kingdom," the Xinhua District Agricultural Association assisted farmers in establishing a sweet potato production and marketing group 16 years ago, creating the "Guaguayuan" sweet potato culinary brand. This brand has developed nearly twenty products from the single ingredient of sweet potato fries, including the traditional flavors of sweet potatoes, now with added convenience, like the frozen baked sweet potato, which is soft and delightful whether eaten cold or hot. It pairs perfectly with milk for breakfast and is the best-selling product. There's also the sweet potato popsicle that retains the original flavor, golden sweet potato balls, sweet potato bamboo shoots package, pearl balls, and black gold sweet potato.
