Gua Gua Garden Sweet Potato Ecological Story Museum (Tourism Factory) Introduction
Xinhua District is located south of the Tropic of Cancer and is rich in agricultural resources, particularly known for sweet potatoes, bamboo shoots, and pineapples. The Xinhua District Office has designated these three agricultural products as the "Three Treasures of Xinhua." In the past, sweet potatoes were mainly used as animal feed, but due to favorable conditions such as climate, geology, and farmers' skills, the Xinhua area has become an excellent place for sweet potato cultivation. To revive the "Sweet Potato Kingdom," the Xinhua Farmers' Association assisted farmers in establishing a sweet potato marketing and production class 16 years ago, launching the "Gua Gua Garden" sweet potato food brand. This has led to nearly twenty products derived from the single ingredient of sweet potato fries, including traditional flavors with added convenience like baked sweet potatoes, which are fragrant and soft, and delicious whether eaten cold or hot. Adding milk makes it a perfect breakfast dish and is the best-selling product. Other offerings include sweet potato popsicles with original flavors, golden sweet potato balls, sweet potato and bamboo shoot dumplings, pearl balls, and black gold sweet potatoes.
