Jiachang Chicken Rice uses locally sourced native chickens as the main ingredient, opting for fresh, free-range chickens that are slaughtered the same day (not frozen). The chickens are cooked daily, with fresh batches prepared in the morning and afternoon. A broth made from simmered native chicken serves as the base for their soup. Traditional snacks in Tainan reflect a rich culture, as Tainan residents have a deep love for food. Jiachang aims to showcase local ingredients such as Taiwanese native chickens, quality Tainan No. 11 rice, and unique sauces to create its chicken rice, emphasizing distinctive flavors and a food culture rooted in the local community, with the goal of spreading the deliciousness of native chicken rice throughout southern Taiwan.
