Chen Yun Bao Quan - Main Branch Introduction
Chen Yun Baoquan Ziyou Road Headquarters, a century-old store, has innovated since the era of Japanese rule. The founder, Mr. Chen Yun, originally sold pastries at Sanjiao Street in Fengyuan. He established the "Baoquan Confectionery" in Tokyo, marking the origin of Baoquan. In 1975, the main store was established on Zhongzheng Road in Fengyuan, operated by the third generation, Mr. Chen Zengxiong, who combined traditional Taiwanese and Japanese baking methods, improving traditional mooncakes and successfully developing new products such as mini mooncakes and salted egg yolk pastries, quickly gaining fame. The fourth generation, Mr. Chen Kunhong, has since developed exclusive products like "Lu Zhi Guo" and "Ri Yue Shao," reaching new peaks in confectionery craftsmanship. Over the years, the store has won numerous gold medals in food evaluations and awards for特色商店 in Taichung. In 2013, the original store name was changed to "Chen Yun Baoquan," incorporating the first generation's name to express a sense of gratitude toward their roots and the passing down of techniques and cultural heritage. The fourth generation, Mr. Chen Kunhong, studied pastry techniques in Japan and, coupled with the deep-rooted expertise passed down through generations, has become a master-level pastry chef, continuously adapting to the trends of the times.
