At first glance, the character "Qi" might mislead one to think it refers to "Tainan Yi Mian," but it is actually named after the owner's father's name "Huang Qi Nan." Locals refer to it as "Qi Nan Yi Mian." The star of the restaurant is the dry Yi Mian, made from high-gluten flour, resulting in noodles that are particularly smooth and chewy.
