Hsiang Tai Cultural Center Introduction
The museum features a trajectory of democratic development, showcasing exquisite artifacts and the overall design of the building through static ancient relics. It is the only puppet and human sculpture museum in Asia. The exhibition space spans three floors, featuring precious works by early Taiwanese masters such as Yeh Wang, Ke Hsun, Hung Kuan-fu, Lin Tien-mu, and Chen Chuan-yu, primarily from the late Qing Dynasty to early Republic of China. The first floor focuses on story themes of loyalty, filial piety, and righteousness through earthenware figures, the second floor is centered on deities and folklore with Taoist immortals, and the third floor displays a complete history of the evolution of pottery, from Chinese funerary figurines to modern earthenware works.
