Luluwan Introduction

"Luluwan" comes from a family name in the Rukai language. The owner, Balu, was originally from Taipei and returned to his community to participate in rebuilding efforts after the Morakot disaster led to village destruction and relocation. He began to learn about indigenous culture and redefined his life. The Luluwan restaurant connects with the cultural imagery of the community and collaborates with local small farmers and agricultural products. It offers visitors a chance to experience traditional indigenous cuisine and innovative culinary art, allowing them to understand the true traditional diet and farming culture of Taiwan's indigenous peoples, as well as the traditional chieftain system and ritual culture, directly providing tourists with a cultural consumption experience.
