Lina'r Tribal Village Introduction

Lina'ale Village is located in MaJia Township, Pingtung County, surrounded by mountains and forests, offering a wide view of the Pingtung North Plain, which is breathtakingly beautiful. In 2009, Typhoon Morakot severely impacted three townships in northern Pingtung. The government assisted residents in rebuilding their homes and selected MaJia Farm as the site for permanent housing. As a result, residents from the nearby Dasha Village in Sandimen Township, MaJia Village, and Haocha Village in Wutai Township were relocated here, and the World Vision Association helped to construct the permanent homes, naming the settlement "Lina'ale," which means "a place where we walk together, and everyone heads there together." Walking around the village, you can find churches situated in all directions, each with a unique architectural style, making it a significant local characteristic that symbolizes the residents’ devotion. Accompanying travelers are the indigenous handicrafts visible everywhere, representing precious lilies and the totem of the hundred-step snake, which signifies origins. The Chang Rong Lily Elementary School in the village has a very lively and cute design, with many unique installations in the corridors, like a movable labyrinth, an open piano space, and various clever ideas waiting for visitors to discover. It is recommended to stay here for more than half a day, visiting attractions such as the village shopping street, the red quinoa storytelling museum, the village workshop, the visitor center, and the Chang Rong Lily Elementary School, or directly book a package tour through the Community Development Association.
