Linao Tribe Introduction
Lina'ahi Village is located in Ma Jie Township, Pingtung County, surrounded by mountains and forests, offering a broad view of the Pingtung North Plain, which is stunningly beautiful. In 2009, Typhoon Morakot severely impacted three townships in northern Pingtung, and the government assisted residents in rebuilding their homes by selecting Ma Jie Farm as the base for permanent housing. As a result, residents from the nearby Dazhu Village in Sandimen Township, Ma Jie Village in Ma Jie Township, and Haocha Village in Wutai Township were relocated here, and the World Vision International constructed permanent houses, naming the settlement "Lina'ahi" which means "where we walk together, where everyone goes together." Walking through the village, one can find churches situated in all directions, each with a unique exterior design, showcasing the local characteristic and symbolizing the residents' faith. Accompanying travelers along the way are indigenous handicrafts, representing precious lilies and totems of the origin, such as the bamboo viper. Inside the village is Changrong Lily Elementary School, with a vibrant and adorable architectural style. The corridors feature many unique installations, such as a movable maze, an open piano space, and numerous thoughtful details waiting for visitors to discover. It is recommended to stay here for more than half a day, visiting attractions such as the village shopping street, Red Quinoa Story Museum, village workshops, visitor center, and Changrong Lily Elementary School, or directly book a package tour through the community development association.
