Linari Tribe Introduction

Lina'ali Tribe is located in the Ma-Jia Township of Pingtung, surrounded by mountains and forests, offering a vast view of the Pingbei Plain, which is breathtaking. In 2009, the devastating Morakot Typhoon heavily impacted three townships in northern Pingtung, and the government assisted residents in rebuilding their homes by designating the Ma-Jia Farm as a permanent housing base. As a result, residents from the nearby San-Di-Men Township’s Da-She Village, Ma-Jia Township's Ma-Jia Village, and Wu-Tai Township's Hao-Cha Village were relocated here. World Vision helped build the permanent houses, naming the settlement "Lina'ali" which means "We walk together, going together to that place." Walking around the tribe, you can find churches situated in various locations, each with unique designs that stand out and symbolize the residents' devotion. Alongside the travelers' paths, indigenous handicrafts abound, representing precious lilies and totems of the hundred-pace snake that signify origins. The Changrong Lily Elementary School within the tribe has a lively and charming architectural style, with many distinctive installations in the corridors, such as a movable maze, an open piano space, and several creative ideas waiting for visitors to discover. It is recommended to stay here for more than half a day, visiting attractions such as the tribal shopping street, Red Quinoa Story House, tribal workshops, tourist center, and Changrong Lily Elementary School, or directly make an appointment for a packaged tour with the community development association.
