Rinari Village Introduction
The Linari Tribe is located in Majia Township, Pingtung, surrounded by mountains and forests, offering a vast and breathtaking view of the northern Pingtung Plain. In 2009, Typhoon Morakot severely impacted the northern three townships of Pingtung, and the government assisted residents in rebuilding their homes, selecting the Majia Farm as the permanent housing base. As a result, residents from the nearby villages of Dazhu Village in Sandimen Township, Maja Village in Majia Township, and Haocha Village in Wutai Township were relocated here. World Vision helped construct permanent houses, naming the settlement "Linari," which means "a place where we walk together, all heading in the same direction." Within the tribe, you can stroll and discover churches situated in all directions, each with a unique architectural style, showcasing local characteristics and symbolizing the residents' devotion. Accompanying travelers are indigenous crafts visible everywhere, representing precious lilies and totems of the hundred-pace snake, signifying origin. The Changrong Lily Elementary School within the tribe features a very lively and cute campus style, with many unique installations in the corridors, such as a movable maze, an open piano space, and various little thoughtful designs waiting for visitors to explore. It is recommended to stay here for over half a day to visit attractions such as the tribe's shopping street, the Red Quinoa Story House, the tribal workshops, the visitor center, and Changrong Lily Elementary School, or directly book a package tour through the Community Development Association.
