Lina'alu Tribe Introduction

The Linari Village is located in the Majia Township of Pingtung, surrounded by mountains and forests, offering a broad view of the northern Pingtung plains, showcasing stunning scenery. In 2009, the Morakot disaster severely impacted three townships in northern Pingtung, prompting the government to assist residents in rebuilding their homes. Majia Farm was chosen as the permanent housing base, leading to the relocation of residents from the nearby Dasha Village in Sandimen Township, Majia Village in Majia Township, and Haocha Village in Wutai Township. With the help of World Vision, these permanent houses were named "Linari" Village, which means "a place where we walk together towards the same destination." As you stroll through the village, you will notice churches situated in various directions, each with a unique design, making them a significant feature of the area and a symbol of the residents' faith. Accompanying your journey are visible Indigenous handicrafts, representing precious lilies and totems of the hundred-step snake, symbolizing origin. The Changrong Lily Elementary School within the village boasts a lively and charming architectural style, featuring various distinctive installations in the corridors, such as a movable maze and an open piano area, with many clever details waiting for visitors to discover. It is recommended to spend at least half a day here. You can explore the village's shopping street, the Red Quinoa Story House, community workshops, the visitor center, and Changrong Lily Elementary School, or directly book a tour package through the Community Development Association.
