Jia Yi Mulberry Introduction
Mr. Huang Zhengyuan from the Tsukematsu area has firmly decided to cultivate mulberries because they are a health-promoting food worth promoting. The farm operates under an ecological environment concept, using environmentally friendly canvas, and refrains from spraying chemical pesticides (relying on manual weeding and insect catching). Natural organic fertilizers are used to promote the growth of the fruit trees, ensuring a clean environment and the quality of the fruits. With continuous technical support and guidance from the Agricultural Research Institute Miaoli Branch of the Council of Agriculture, efforts are made to research and improve new varieties (Taiwanese native species, new varieties like Black Diamond, etc.) and develop related products (such as mulberry enzymes, mulberry fruit acid enzymes, mulberry paste, frozen fresh mulberries, mulberry leaf gummies, mulberry soft candies, etc.). The mulberry farm is located by the Beigang River in the Tsukematsu area, showcasing the simple rural scenery and idyllic landscapes, making it suitable for outdoor teaching activities for schools and explanatory activities for organizations. It also offers introductions to tree species and their functions, seedling purchasing and planting promotion, as well as mulberry picking.
