The signature product "Yang's Family Sweet Potato Pastry" was selected as one of the top ten travel souvenirs and specialty foods in Taitung County in 2012. In the 1950s, the founder of Yang’s Family Sweet Potato Pastry, Mr. Yang Zhen-Fa, sold these pastries by pushcart on the streets. Even today, the older generation in Taitung still remembers him, noting that "Uncle Zhen-Fa" was honest, diligent, and hardworking. Currently, the family business is run by the second generation, Yang Jun-Ming and Zhang Yue-Hong, who are dedicated to maintaining traditional methods to create unique sweet potato products. A three-wheeled cart left by their father has taken care of the sweet potatoes that have accompanied us for forty years, and the original flavors of sweet potatoes are still passed down in our generation.
