Changti Coffee House Introduction
"In Dongyin, running a café is difficult to maintain, but I managed to pull through. During the peak of karaoke, many shops transformed into karaoke venues, but I have always dreamed of opening my ideal café. A café is a static place where soldiers used to come, listen to music, and write letters to their loved ones or family. The photos on the wall showcase the plants of Dongyin from January to December; Dongyin has different plant ecologies throughout the seasons, and now is the season for Miscanthus blooms, followed by the appearance of red spider lilies. 'Changti' has been in business for twenty-six years, serving handcrafted coffee and Western cuisine. The idea of opening the café came from the realization that there wasn't a comfortable café in Dongyin. After graduation, I returned home and collaborated with my younger brother. For this, the owner even traveled to Taiwan for research, visiting more than ten cafés in a day and tasting several cups of coffee. The owner believes that the biggest characteristic of 'Changti' is not its food or coffee, but the warmth and relaxed atmosphere."
