Changti Coffee House Introduction
"In Dongyin, it's tough to maintain a café, but no matter what, I’ve managed to get through. During the heyday of karaoke, many businesses transformed into karaoke venues, but I've always thought that opening the café of my dreams has been a beautiful aspiration. A café is a static space; in the past, soldiers would come in, listen to music, and write letters to their loved ones or family. The photos on the wall depict the plants in Dongyin from January to December; Dongyin boasts different botanical ecologies in each season, and now it’s the season for feather grass to bloom, with red spider lilies to follow. 'Changdi' has been in operation for twenty-six years, serving handmade coffee and Western cuisine. The idea to open a café arose from the lack of a comfortable café in Dongyin. After graduating, I returned home and collaborated with my brother. To prepare, the owner even traveled to Taiwan for research, visiting more than a dozen cafés in a single day and tasting just as many cups of coffee. The owner believes that 'Changdi's' greatest feature is not the food or coffee, but the deep passion and relaxed atmosphere."
