Matsu Distillery Dongyin Exhibition and Sales Center Introduction
Dongyong Chen Gao is a premium sorghum liquor. When it comes to Matsu, one immediately thinks of Matsu sorghum liquor, known for its fragrant and mellow taste. Which liquor is produced in a limited annual quantity and rarely sold outside of Matsu? Not only loved by the residents of Matsu, but also cherished by connoisseurs? The answer is Dongyong Chen Gao, produced by the Dongyin Distillery. The Matsu Distillery has two locations: one in Nangan and the other in Dongyin, also known as the Dongyong Distillery. The Dongyong Chen Gao is made using natural fermentation and traditional brewing methods. Every detail, including temperature, humidity, and beneficial bacteria that aid in fermentation, must be just right. The distillery uses spring water from mountainous areas rich in granite and mica, and experienced brewers decide the brewing time based on the seasons. This meticulous and strict quality control results in a rich and full-bodied liquor, earning it the nickname "Dongyong Chen Gao surpasses Maotai." Due to its difficult production process and affordable price, it is a favorite among the people of Matsu, often featured in weddings and celebrations, and is a rare treat for guests. At the Dongyin Distillery’s exhibition center in Matsu, visitors can taste Dongyong Chen Gao, watch an introductory video, and view displays of liquors produced over the years. However, to purchase the liquor, one must go to a distribution point. Note: Do not drink and drive; please do not consume alcohol if under 18.
