Gratitude Pavilion Introduction
Standing Pavilion offers a panoramic view of Dongyin and Xiyin. On the way westward along the Zhongzhu Dike, there is a pavilion with a statue of Mr. Chiang Ching-kuo, named the "Gratitude Pavilion." It was built by the military and civilians of Dongyin in appreciation of Mr. Chiang Ching-kuo's support for the island's significant developments. Inside the Gratitude Pavilion, the statue of Mr. Chiang faces south, embodying the spirit of "kindness, naturalness, dedication, and sacrifice," representing his lifetime of contributions. Climbing up to the Gratitude Pavilion allows for a 360-degree panoramic view of Dongyin and Xiyin, with the expansive ocean stretching out before you. In summer, the sea sparkles, while in winter, the cold sea breeze evokes different feelings.
