Thanksgiving Pavilion Introduction
Standing Pavilion offers a panoramic view of Dongyin and Xiyin. On the way along the Zhongzhu Dike towards Xiyin, there is a pavilion with a statue of Chiang Ching-kuo, called the "Gratitude Pavilion." It was built by the military and civilians of Dongyin to express their gratitude for Chiang Ching-kuo's support for significant constructions on the island. Inside the pavilion, the statue of Chiang sits majestically facing south, embodying the spirit of "kindness, nature, dedication, and sacrifice" that characterized his life. Climbing the Gratitude Pavilion provides a 360-degree view of Dongyin and Xiyin, with a vast perspective of the ocean. In summer, the sea shimmers, while in winter, the cold sea breeze offers different experiences.
