Monk Reading Scriptures Introduction
The Monk Reading Scripture is a giant rock standing on the hillside of the "Point 26" in Xiyin Island, which can be seen whenever vessels are preparing to dock at Zhongzhu Harbor. It gazes westward toward Zhongzhu Harbor, resembling a deeply meditative practitioner engaging in the study of scriptures amidst the bustling world, hence its name. The Monk Reading Scripture is situated in an important strategic location, overlooking the entrance of Zhongzhu Harbor and guarding the gateway to Dongyin, controlling the entry and exit of various types of vessels. During sunset, the sky is filled with rosy clouds, and from Nanao, the view of the Monk Reading Scripture against the sunset creates a stunning scene, stirring infinite imagination. Note: Due to its important strategic position in Dongyin, the Monk Reading Scripture currently remains a military-controlled area, and visitors are not allowed to enter.
