Dongyin Visitor Center Introduction
The first stop when visiting Dongyin should be the Dongyin Visitor Center, located along Zhongheng Road beside Zhongzhu Harbor, just a short walk from the Bai Ma Zun Wang Temple. Completed in 2003, the Dongyin Visitor Center sits on a hillside to the south of Zhongzhu Harbor and beneath the South Bridge Helicopter Airport, conveniently located near both sites. Unlike other visitor centers with Fujian-style architecture, the Dongyin Visitor Center is designed to be low-profile to withstand strong winds, making it a prominent landmark visible from Zhongzhu Harbor, effectively guiding tourists. The first floor of the visitor center features a travel service center and a sales area, while the second floor serves a display function with a resting area inspired by lighthouses and terns, allowing visitors to quickly learn about Dongyin's rich ecological landscape. A visit here is definitely rewarding for first-time visitors. Due to Dongyin's abundant tourism resources, including historical sites, coastal scenery, wartime landscapes, and native plant species, everything is worth exploring. Visitors should consider starting their journey at the visitor center to watch introductory videos, collect brochures, or inquire about travel information to prepare for their upcoming itinerary.
