Dongyin Visitor Center Introduction
The first stop when visiting Dongyin is the Dongyin Visitor Center, which is located along Zhongzhukou Port on Zhongzheng Road, near the Baima Zunwang Temple. Completed in 2003, the center sits on the hillside south of Zhongzhukou Port, right below the Nanqiao Helicopterport, making it easily accessible from both locations. Unlike other visitor centers with Fujian style architecture, the Dongyin Visitor Center is designed to withstand strong winds, with a low profile on the hillside, making it a recognizable landmark for guiding tourists from Zhongzhukou Port. The first floor of the visitor center features a travel service center and a retail area, while the second floor serves as an exhibition space with a lounge area inspired by lighthouses and terns, allowing visitors to quickly learn about Dongyin’s rich ecological landscape. For first-time visitors, exploring this center is certainly rewarding. Due to the abundant tourism resources in Dongyin, including historical sites, coastal erosion landscapes, wartime scenery, and native plant species, it is worthwhile to explore them all. Tourists are encouraged to use the visitor center as their first stop in Dongyin to watch introductory videos, collect brochures, or inquire about travel information to prepare for the rest of their journey.
