Dongyin Visitor Center Introduction
The first stop when visiting Dongyin is ideally the Dongyin Visitor Center, located along Zhongzhuharbor Road, near the Baima Zunwang Temple. Completed in 2003, the visitor center sits on a hillside south of Zhongzhuharbor, just below the Nanchiao Helicopter Airport, making it conveniently situated. Unlike other visitor centers with Minnan architectural styles, the Dongyin Visitor Center is designed to be low-profile for wind resistance, standing tall on the hill, making it a prominent landmark visible from Zhongzhuharbor. The first floor of the visitor center features a tourism service center and sales area, while the second floor showcases an exhibition space designed with elements inspired by lighthouses and terns, providing a restful area where visitors can quickly learn about Dongyin's rich ecological landscape. A visit here is definitely rewarding for first-time guests. Given the abundance of tourism resources in Dongyin, including historical sites, coastal erosion landscapes, battlefield scenery, and native plants, all are worth exploring. Visitors are encouraged to make the visitor center their first stop when in Dongyin to watch introductory videos, collect brochures, or inquire about travel information to prepare for their journey ahead.
