Dongyin Visitor Center Introduction
The first stop to visit Dongyin is along Zhongzhuharbour's Zhongzhong Road, passing by the Baima Zunwang Temple, and soon arriving at the Dongyin Visitor Center. Completed in 2003, the Dongyin Visitor Center is located on the hillside south of Zhongzhuharbour, just below the South Bridge Helicopter Airport, and is not far from both locations; unlike the Min Dong style architecture of other visitor centers, the Dongyin Visitor Center stands atop the hill with a low design to withstand strong winds, making it easily visible from Zhongzhuharbour and serving as an excellent landmark for guiding tourists. The first floor of the visitor center features a tourism service center and retail area, while the second floor serves a display function with a resting area inspired by lighthouses and terns, allowing visitors to immediately learn about Dongyin's rich ecological landscape. For first-time visitors, a trip here will definitely yield great rewards. Given Dongyin's abundant tourist resources, including historical sites, coastal erosion landscapes, war zone features, and native plant species, it is well worth exploring. Visitors might consider making the visitor center their first stop in Dongyin to view introductory videos, collect brochures, or inquire about tourism information to prepare for their subsequent travel itinerary.
