Dongyin Visitor Center Introduction
The first stop when visiting Dongyin is the Dongyin Visitor Center, which you can reach by walking along Zhongzhupeng's Zhongzhong Road and passing by the Baima Zunwang Temple. Completed in 2003, the Dongyin Visitor Center is located on the hillside south of Zhongzhupeng and just below the South Bridge Helicopter Airport, making it convenient to both locations. Unlike other visitor centers with Fujian-style architecture, the Dongyin Visitor Center stands atop the hill with a low design to withstand strong winds, making it a prominent landmark visible from Zhongzhupeng, serving well as a guide for tourists. The first floor of the visitor center has a tourist service area and a sales area, while the second floor features an exhibition area designed as a resting space inspired by lighthouses and terns, allowing visitors to quickly learn about Dongyin's rich ecological landscape. For first-time visitors, stopping by is definitely rewarding. With an abundance of tourism resources, including historical sites, coastal landforms, wartime landscape, and native plants, Dongyin is worth exploring.
