Lin Yi-He Workshop Introduction
Lin Yi-He, whose life lasted only 31 years, is a legendary figure in the region. His descendants learned about his deeds from the older residents and were inspired to renovate Lin Yi-He’s old residence. They focused on the traditional brewing techniques passed down through generations and launched vinegar and pickled products. In addition to handmade vinegar, handmade radish sauce, and dried anchovies, the owner also offers DIY activities for traditional wine and egg rolls. Participants need to make a reservation in advance, with each session accommodating about 40 people; however, since there is only one machine for making egg rolls, the owner suggests not having too many participants for the egg roll DIY. At the Lin Yi-He Workshop, in addition to DIY activities, the owner shares stories about Lin Yi-He’s past, allowing guests to enjoy crafting while listening to the tales, and they can also step outside to admire the most beautiful sunset in all of Matsu, making for a truly delightful experience.
