The veteran barbecue restaurant in Hsinchu City, Yuan-Chu Barbecue, has relocated! It moved from Beimen Street to Datong Road, featuring a brand new upscale decor. The ambiance has shifted from wooden designs to bright white, creating a more comfortable dining environment. In addition to à la carte options, set meal choices are available. Upon seating, each table is provided with unlimited chicken soup and a platter of lettuce for wrapping the meat (including glutinous rice pepper, garlic, and Korean chili sauce), which is a great bonus for balancing the heaviness of barbecue. Unlike other flashy barbecue places, Yuan-Chu Barbecue focuses on the quality of its meat and fresh ingredients, along with attentive table-side service like that of an old friend. Overall, it offers great value for money. As for dessert, the brown sugar syrup with tofu pudding is the finishing touch, boasting a solid yet magically melting texture that rivals those sold outside.
