A beautiful old house, a Hong Kong designer, and a food enthusiast have come together to create a romantic atmosphere for a light meals & coffee shop. Located in a more than fifty-year-old dormitory on Xingye East Road, the owner has intentionally preserved the original entrance, wall, garden, and old iron windows. If you’re not paying attention, you might just walk past, thinking it’s an ordinary private residence; this inspired the name "Come Home." Upon opening the restaurant's large door, the sight before you will surely bring a smile to your face—showing how beautifully old and new can harmonize! While most restaurants aim for high table turnover rates to maximize profits, this refreshing style eatery, which opened in the year 101 of the Republic of China (2012), hopes you'll settle in and relax, feeling as if you're at home rather than hurried and rushed. Each corner of the restaurant has its own unique character, inviting you to sit down and enjoy different views, allowing you to immerse yourself in an elegant scene. Additionally, from another local eatery in Chiayi, Olin da Cuisine, some tableware that was replaced due to menu adjustments is quietly placed in a corner of Come Home, waiting for someone lucky to discover it. Under the theme of "light meals," Come Home’s menu features brunch and afternoon tea, including bagels, sandwiches, and toasts, as well as a variety of uniquely flavored beverages. A must-try dish is the limited-time stewed dish served with crusty baguette. The baguette has a crispy exterior and soft interior, making it quite chewy, and when dipped in the rich sauce of the stewed dish, it’s a perfect match. The coffee stroll at Come Home gives guests a feeling of comfort, reminiscent of home; above the kitchen, there is a well-lit skylight, and if you're lucky, you might even see short-legged Corgis wandering around.
