Jiamu House Introduction
During the renovation process, Jiamu Residence adheres to the principle of restoration in repairing every aspect. In the face of decayed wooden structures, we not only replace them with similar types of wood but also use traditional mortise and tenon joinery to repair each decayed beam and pillar. Additionally, we have reinforced some structures that were originally loose but still usable, enhancing both the craftsmanship typically found in wooden houses and their safety. The goal is to renovate local特色 architecture and integrate Chiayi's cultural and creative workers, artists, and collectors, providing a platform for the display of creations and collectibles. This allows the public and creators to interact directly through the exhibition platform, and related educational courses can also be offered, promoting Chiayi's local cultural and creative industries via a dedicated information platform.
