Hsin Yu Hsuan Introduction
The first-generation founder, Lin Jin-Zhen, opened the "Lao Xin-Yu" pastry shop in the Taisho era during Japanese rule, at "No. 414, Wuqitan, Yongkang Township, Sinfung District, Tainan Prefecture," which is near present-day Yongkang City in Tainan County. Soon, it gained widespread fame, attracting even Moriyama Matsunosuke, the architect of the Taiwan Governor-General's Office. The third-generation operator, Mr. Lin Yu-Zhong, made slight modifications to the products based on beliefs and the popular health trends of the time, such as removing meat, adding vegetarian options, reducing sugar, and not using chemical additives. Although this trend lasted for a few years, it couldn't compete with the advertising power of large factories and brands. In 1998, his eldest son, Mr. Lin Jing-Yao, felt the traditional market was shrinking and thus established "Xin-Yu Xuan" to strengthen consumer recognition of the brand. In 2002, they partnered with Uni-President Enterprises Corporation to launch the "Taiwan Revisit" series of products, enhancing national awareness.
