Zhangmei Grandma's Farm Introduction
The latest family-friendly attraction in Yilan, "Zhang Mei Grandma Farm," allows close encounters with Formosan sika deer. It is about a 5-minute walk from "Sanxing Layu Song Secret Realm." Currently, the farm has two sika deer named "Mi Xiang" and "Mi Fu," along with seven adorable fawns named "Yuyuan," "Yuanzi," "Congyoubing," "Danjuan," "Mitaimu," "Cuabing," and "Fandan." The fawns are just 3 to 4 months old, and before May next year, there will be a "Feed the Fawn Milk Experience," available in two sessions at 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, limited to the first fifteen participants for each session. What sets this place apart is the opportunity to experience rural life, where you can go into the fields to pick organic corn leaves or hay to feed the deer. The sika deer are very gentle, and the farm is full of fawns, making it particularly suitable for children to interact with. After the experience, visitors can taste scallion pancakes made with Yilan's Sanxing onions and organic black tea, with an experience price of NT$150. In addition to the affordable options, there are various DIY activities available at the farm, including making three-color taro balls, Mitaimu, scallion pancakes, tangyuan, shaped rice balls, bamboo tube rice, rice egg rolls, pounding mochi, and even picking organic vegetables and baking organic pizzas. The activities include ecological tours and the chance to harvest organic ingredients. The content is rich and fun, combining deliciousness with entertainment. Customized itineraries are available for groups of over 30 people. The "Zhang Mei Grandma Farm" has been offering farming experience activities for seven years, boasting ample experience to ensure your satisfaction. Located in Sanxing Walking-Keen Organic Dream Village, Grandma Zhang served as the village head here for 20 years, and in 2010, she called on farmers to cultivate organically and founded the "Xingjian Organic Agricultural Production Cooperative." The products are certified by "Cixin Organic Certification." The organic farmland covers about 180 hectares, surrounded by natural barriers of Xingjian Creek, Anong Creek, Wanfuzhen, and Yiyin Road. Anong Creek provides inflow while Xingjian Creek provides drainage, making it the ideal location in Yilan for organic farming. Thanks to Grandma Zhang's advocacy, Xingjian Village has transformed into an organic village that adheres to non-toxic, pesticide-free, and chemical-free organic farming methods, leaving a good living environment and quality of life for future generations.
