Zhang Mei Grandma's Farm Introduction

The latest family-friendly attraction in Yilan, "Zhang Mei Grandma's Farm," allows close contact with sika deer. It is about a 5-minute walk from the "Sansiang Luyusong Secret Spot." Currently, there are two sika deer named "Mi Xiang" and "Mi Fu," along with seven adorable fawns named "Yuan Yuan, Yuan Zai, Cong You Bing, Dan Juan, Mi Tai Mu, Chua Bing, and Fan Tuan." The fawns are only 3 to 4 months old, and before May next year, there will be a "Bottle Feeding Experience" for baby deer, held at two time slots, 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, with a limit of fifteen participants for each session. What sets this place apart is the opportunity to experience rural life, where visitors can pick organic corn leaves or feed grass to the deer. The sika deer are very gentle, and the farm primarily features fawns, making it a perfect place for children to interact. After the experience, visitors can also enjoy scallion pancakes made with Yilan Sanxing scallions and organic black tea for a fee of 150 NTD. In addition to affordable options, various DIY activities are available in the farm, including making three-color taro balls, rice noodles, scallion pancakes, tangyuan, shaped rice balls, bamboo tube rice, rice egg rolls, pounding mochi, and participating in organic vegetable picking and oven-baked pizza made from self-picked organic vegetables. The activities include ecological tours and self-picking of organic ingredients, offering a rich and enjoyable experience. Custom itineraries can be arranged for groups of 30 or more. "Zhang Mei Grandma's Farm" has been conducting agricultural experience activities for seven years and is highly experienced, ensuring satisfaction. Located in Sansiang Xingjian Organic Dream Village, Grandma has been the village head for 20 years and, in 2010, rallied farmers to switch to organic farming, establishing the "Xingjian Organic Agricultural Production Cooperative." All agricultural products are certified by "Compassion Organic Certification." The area of organic farmland is approximately 180 hectares, surrounded by natural buffers formed by Xingjian Creek, An Nong Creek, Wanfu Canal, and Yiyin Road. With An Nong Creek providing inflow and Xingjian Creek draining out, this is the most suitable area in Yilan for developing an organic village. Thanks to Grandma Zhang Mei's efforts, Xingjian Village has transformed into an organic village, adhering to organic farming practices without toxic chemicals, pesticides, or fertilizers, thereby preserving a healthy living environment and quality of life for future generations. Everyone is welcome to come to Yilan Sanxing to connect with nature, experience barefoot mud pulling taro and fishing, enjoy fresh organic vegetables, and visit the chicken coop and deer feeding fun. In the afternoon, cycling along the An Nong Creek, visitors can admire over 200 bald cypress trees forming a shaded avenue, changing colors throughout the seasons, creating a beautiful backdrop all year round!
