Zhangmei Grandma's Farm Introduction
The latest family-friendly attraction in Yilan, "Zhang Mei Grandma's Farm," allows close encounters with sika deer and is a 5-minute walk from "Sanxing Luyusong Secret Realm." Currently, the farm hosts two sika deer named "Mi Xiang" and "Mi Fu," along with seven adorable fawns named "Yuan Yuan, Spring Onion Pancake, Egg Roll, Mi Tai Mu, Shaved Ice, Rice Ball." The fawns are just 3 to 4 months old, and before May next year, there are experiences to "feed the fawn milk," available in two time slots at 10:00 and 15:00, limited to the first fifteen participants per session. What sets this place apart is the experience of rural life, where visitors can pick organic corn leaves or feed grass to the sika deer, which are very tame. The farm is filled with fawns, making it ideal for children to interact with them. After the experience, you can also taste green onion pancakes made from Yilan's famous Sanxing onions and organic black tea, with a participation fee of NT$150. Besides the budget-friendly options, various DIY activities are available, such as making three-colored taro balls, rice noodles, green onion pancakes, tangyuan, shaped rice balls, bamboo rice, egg rolls, mochi, picking organic vegetables, and wood-fired pizza. The activities include ecological tours and picking organic ingredients from the field, making the experience rich and fun, delicious and enjoyable. For groups of 30 or more, customized itineraries can be arranged. "Zhang Mei Grandma's Farm" has been conducting agricultural experience activities for seven years, and their expertise guarantees satisfaction. Located in the Sanxing Xingjian Organic Dream Village, Grandma has been the village chief for 20 years and in 2010 initiated a program for farmers to grow organic produce, establishing the "Xingjian Organic Agricultural Production Cooperative." All agricultural products have received "Loving Heart Organic Certification." The organic farmland covers approximately 180 hectares, surrounded by natural barriers formed by the Xingjian Creek, Anong Creek, Wanfu Canal, and Yiyin Road, with Anong Creek bringing in water and Xingjian Creek draining it, making it the most suitable place in Yilan for an organic village. Thanks to Grandma Zhang Mei's efforts, Xingjian Village has become an organic village, insisting on pesticide-free, chemical-free, organic farming methods to provide a better living environment and quality for future generations. Everyone is welcome to come and experience nature in Yilan Sanxing, barefooted in the mud to pick taro and catch fish, freshly picking organic vegetables to eat them, visiting the chicken coop, and feeding the fawns. In the afternoon, cycling along Anong Creek, surrounded by over two hundred Metasequoia trees, creates a shaded avenue that changes colors with the seasons, beautiful all year round!
