Zhangmei Grandma's Farm Introduction
The latest family-friendly attraction in Yilan is "Zhang Mei Grandma's Farm," where you can get up close and personal with sika deer. It is about a 5-minute walk from the "Sanxing Layu Pine Secret Realm." Currently, the farm is home to two sika deer named "Mi Xiang" and "Mi Fu," and seven adorable fawns named "Yuan Tuan," "Yuan Zai," "Cong You Bing," "Dan Juan," "Mi Tai Mu," "Shaved Ice," and "Fan Tuan." The fawns are only 3 to 4 months old, and before May next year, there will be a "Baby Deer Feeding Experience" offered in two sessions at 10:00 and 15:00, limited to the first fifteen participants in each session. The unique aspect here is the opportunity to experience rural life by picking organic corn leaves or feeding the deer with hay. The sika deer are very gentle, making the farm more suitable for children to interact with. After the experience, visitors can also taste scallion pancakes made from Yilan's Sanxing scallions and organic black tea, with an experience fee of 150 NTD. In addition to budget-friendly options, there are various DIY activities available, including three-color taro balls, mi tai mu, scallion pancakes, tangyuan, shaped rice balls, bamboo tube rice, rolled rice omelettes, and making mochi, along with self-picked organic vegetables and wooden oven-baked pizza. The activities include ecological tours, self-harvesting organic ingredients, and are rich and enjoyable, combining fun with delicious food. For groups of 30 or more, custom itineraries can be arranged. "Zhang Mei Grandma's Farm" has been conducting agricultural experience activities for seven years and has extensive experience that will surely satisfy you. Located in the Sanxing Xingjian Organic Dream Village, Grandma has served as the village chief for 20 years and initiated a movement among farmers to grow organically in 2010, establishing the "Xingjian Organic Agricultural Production Cooperative." All agricultural products are certified by "Charity Organic Certification." The organic farmland covers approximately 180 hectares, surrounded by natural barriers of the Xingjian River, Anong River, Wanfuzhen, and Yiyin Road, making it the most suitable place for organic villages in Yilan.
