Yilan Sports Park Introduction
Yilan Sports Park is located in Yilan City, adjacent to Provincial Highway 9, covering an area of about 27 hectares. It is a fully open recreational space that combines leisure and sports, featuring a humanized design that continues the enclosed concept of the county cultural center. It was a pioneer in establishing the trend of park-like sports facilities in Taiwan. The Taiwan Area Sports Games were held here in 1992. Visitors can enter the park from various points, but all vehicles, except bicycles, are strictly regulated. The park's greenery showcases different appearances with the changing seasons: when the cotton tree blossoms in vibrant red along Health Road, summer is quietly approaching; meanwhile, the Taiwan acacia sprouts tender yellow flower clusters, signaling the arrival of autumn; as the stunning purple bauhinia flowers blanket the ground, people recognize that winter is near; and during spring, the park bursts with blooming flowers, creating a lively atmosphere! On weekdays, families can enjoy the beauty of the park by admiring rare flowers, walking, cycling, or flying kites. It can also serve as a competition venue for various sports events. Competitions held in this scenic location are sure to achieve excellent results. For tourists from other counties, Yilan Sports Park is a great place to take a break during their long sightseeing journey, allowing them to enjoy the fragrant flowers and chirping birds under the blue sky and white clouds, as well as the tranquility of the gardens, while also providing a space to stretch their muscles and experience the "symphony of green and strength" in the Lanyang Plain.
