Turtle Mountain First Riverside Park Introduction
Cities are beautiful because of water. Originating from Guishan, the Nankang River has been improved, resulting in clear water that attracts many waterbirds. The riverside green space flowing through the urban area is beautifully scenic, with well-developed bike paths and pedestrian walkways. Whether cycling to enjoy the riverside scenery or taking a stroll with pets, it offers a very comfortable environment. The First Riverside Park, located near the Lugang No. 2 Village, features a petal-shaped plaza at its entrance, showcasing the spirit of love for home, country, and community from the Lugang area as part of its effort to preserve the military village culture. Additionally, there are several decommissioned military weapons on display, including the F-5F fighter jet, M41A3 light tank, and the U.S.-made M1 40mm anti-aircraft gun, allowing military enthusiasts to observe them up close and providing the public with a better understanding of weaponry. A visit to the First Riverside Park is incomplete without seeing the Star Moon Bridge, whose water-blue structure curves like a roller coaster, standing out brilliantly against the blue sky. At night, it is illuminated by colorful lights, creating a romantic atmosphere that offers different experiences during the day and night. Furthermore, the park is equipped with playground facilities for children, along with areas for skating, basketball, tennis, and croquet, as well as recreational sports for the elderly, catering to the leisure needs of all age groups.
