Keelung River First Riverside Park Introduction
The city is beautiful because of its water. Originating from Guishan, the Nankan River has undergone improvements, resulting in clear water that attracts many water birds. The riverside green spaces that flow through the city are picturesque, featuring well-maintained bike lanes and walking paths, making it a comfortable environment for cycling along the coast or walking with pets. The First Riverside Park, located near Luguang Village, has an entrance area called Meihua Plaza, designed with a five-petal plum blossom as the canopy, reflecting the community's spirit of love for home, country, and community, and serving as part of the preservation of military village culture. Additionally, several retired military weapons are displayed here, including F-5F fighter jets, M41A3 light tanks, and M1 40mm anti-aircraft guns, allowing military enthusiasts to observe them up close and providing the public with further understanding of military equipment. A visit to the First Riverside Park would not be complete without seeing the Xingyue Bridge, whose water blue body curves like a roller coaster, standing out vividly against the blue sky, and at night, colorful lights are projected, creating a romantic atmosphere, offering different experiences both day and night.
