Guishan First Waterfront Park Introduction
Cities are beautiful because of water. Originating from the Guishan area, the Nankan River has been improved, resulting in clear water that attracts many water birds. The riverside green space flowing through the city is picturesque and features well-maintained bike paths and walking trails. Whether cycling along the coast to enjoy the scenery or walking with pets, it provides a very comfortable and relaxing environment. The First Riverside Park, located near the Lugang Village, has an entrance plaza shaped like a five-petal plum blossom, representing the Lugang community's spirit of love for home, country, and community, serving as a part of preserving the military dependents' village culture. Additionally, several retired military weapons are displayed here, including the F-5F fighter jet, M41A3 light tank, and the American M1 40mm anti-aircraft gun, allowing military enthusiasts to observe them closely and giving the public a deeper understanding of these weapons. A visit to the First Riverside Park wouldn't be complete without seeing the Xingyue Bridge, whose water-blue structure resembles a roller coaster and stands out spectacularly against the blue sky. At night, it is illuminated with rainbow-colored lights, creating a romantic atmosphere that offers different experiences whether during the day or night. Furthermore, the park includes children’s play facilities, as well as areas for skating, basketball, tennis, and croquet, catering to the leisure needs of people of all ages.
