Guishan First Riverside Park Introduction
Cities are beautiful because of water. Originating from the Guishan area's Nankang River, the stream has been rehabilitated, resulting in clear water that attracts many water birds. The riverside green space flowing through the city features beautiful scenery, with well-developed bike paths and pedestrian walkways, creating a very comfortable environment for cycling along the coast or walking with pets. The First Riverside Park, due to its proximity to the Luguang Second Village, has an entrance designed with a five-petal plum blossom canopy in the Meihua Plaza, reflecting the spirit of love for home, country, and community in the Luguang community, and preserving the culture of military dependents' villages. Additionally, several retired military weapons are displayed here, including the F-5F fighter jet, M41A3 light tank, and the U.S. M1 40mm anti-aircraft gun, allowing military enthusiasts to observe them up close, and providing the public with a deeper understanding of these weapons. A visit to the First Riverside Park would not be complete without checking out the Star and Moon Bridge, whose water-blue structure resembles a roller coaster and stands out against the blue sky. At night, colorful lights are projected, creating a romantic atmosphere with different experiences for day and night. Moreover, the park includes children's playground facilities, as well as areas for skating, basketball, tennis, and croquet, catering to the leisure needs of all age groups, including a sports area for the elderly.
