Tiger Head Mountain Park Introduction
Hutoushan Park is located in Taoyuan City on Section 3 of Chenggong Road, near the Nankan River. Every day, many residents come to the park for exercise and morning workouts, and the crowds swell on weekends, with people from Guishan, Bade, Zhongli, Taoyuan, and Luzhu coming here for hiking and leisure. The park has expanded from its original 15 hectares to a scenic area of 720 hectares, designed to include two major recreational systems, Hutoushan and Fengshukeng, along with three major hiking systems, making Hutoushan an important metropolitan park in northern Taiwan. The three major hiking systems include the front mountain trail system within Hutoushan Park (which consists of the ridge trail, scenic health trail, ecological interpretation trail, cherry blossom trail, forest experience trail, sun pavilion trail, plum garden trail, martyrs' shrine trail, and all-age friendly trail), as well as the back mountain circular trail and the Taoyuan 11 road system outside of Hutoushan Park. Hutoushan Park is close to the urban area of Taoyuan, situated at a high elevation, preserving lush greenery in the cityscape and earning the nickname "The Back Garden of Taoyuan." The park features several trail systems, differentiated by color. In addition to the pedestrian pathways within the park, it has planned seven circular hiking trails including the scenic health trail, cherry blossom trail, forest experience trail, sun pavilion trail, plum garden trail, ecological interpretation trail, and martyrs' shrine trail, making it easier for visitors to explore the beauty of Hutoushan. Furthermore, the front mountain system includes an all-age friendly trail built using elevated construction methods, which not only protects the natural growth environment of flora and fauna but also provides hikers with a more comfortable trekking experience. The back mountain circular trail, which spans a total of 20 kilometers, runs along Chenggong Road in Taoyuan, passing the Taoyuan 11 road, Guishan District's nursery road, Zhongkeng Street, and Guangfeng Road, then returning to the starting point via Provincial Highway 1. The Taoyuan 11 road system, which promotes the revitalization of the Taolin railway, includes the Tiger Ridge Windward Trail, which connects Hutoushan Park with the martyrs' shrine via accessible ramps, as well as the Sanyuan Trail and Shuigantou Trail, which connect to the Hutoushan Eco-Park.
