Hutoushan Park Introduction
Hutoushan Park is located in the outskirts of Taoyuan City along the southern bank of the Nankan River on Section 3 of Chenggong Road. Every day, many residents come to the park for exercise and morning routines, and on weekends, the number of visitors increases significantly, attracting people from Guishan, Bade, Zhongli, Taoyuan, and Luzhu for hiking and leisure activities. The park has been expanded from its original 15 hectares to a 720-hectare Scenic Area. It features two major recreational systems: the Hutoushan and Fengshuikeng systems, as well as three major hiking systems, transforming Hutoushan into an important metropolitan park in northern Taiwan. The three major hiking systems include the Qianshan Trail System within Hutoushan Park (which comprises the Ridge Trail, Scenic Health Trail, Ecological Interpretation Trail, Cherry Blossom Trail, Forest Experience Trail, Solar Pavilion Trail, Plum Garden Trail, and the Zhonglieci Trail) and the Houshan Huanshan Trail located outside the park, along with the Taoyuan 11 Line road system. Hutoushan Park is situated near Taoyuan City, boasting a high elevation, which helps retain lush greenery in the urban landscape, earning it the nickname "Taoyuan's Backyard." The park is designed with multiple trail systems, differentiated by colors. In addition to the pedestrian paths within the park, there are also seven circular hiking trails, including the Scenic Health Trail, Cherry Blossom Trail, Forest Experience Trail, Solar Pavilion Trail, Plum Garden Trail, Ecological Interpretation Trail, and the Zhonglieci Trail, making it easier for visitors to explore the scenic beauty of Hutoushan. Furthermore, the Qianshan System includes an all-age-friendly trail constructed with elevated techniques, which not only protects the original growth environment of flora and fauna but also offers hikers a more comfortable trekking experience. The Houshan Huanshan Trail, with a total length of 20 kilometers, runs along Chenggong Road in Taoyuan, passing through the Taoyuan 11 Line road, Guishan's nursery road, Zhongkeng Street, and Guangfeng Road, eventually connecting back to the starting point. The Taoyuan 11 Line road system, which promotes the activation of the Taolin Railway, includes an accessible slope trail connecting Hutoushan Park with the Zhonglieci, known as the Huling Yinfeng Trail, along with trails such as the Sanyuan Trail and Shuibiantou Trail that link to the Hutoushan Eco Park.
