Ching Chuan Catholic Church Introduction

The serene wind echoes the solemnity of the church as it passes through the suspension bridge and gently ascends the stone steps. The Chingquan Catholic Church stands on the mountainside, overlooking the Wufeng area as if embracing it. This unique church serves as the center of art, spirit, and culture for the village. In 1976, the young Father Ting Song-qing arrived in Chingquan, where he built the church with love and beauty. Inside the church, the vibrant stained glass, murals, and wood carvings are seen everywhere, even extending to the large mosaic wall beside the basketball court outside the church, all creations from the father's hands, skillfully merging biblical stories with indigenous legends. Father Ting infused his colorful youth into Chingquan, adding warmth and vibrancy to this originally cold region.
