Ching Chuan Catholic Church Introduction
The tranquil breeze echoes the solemnity of the church as it flows across the suspension bridge and slowly ascends the stone steps, with the Sacred Heart Church standing on the mountainside, overlooking the land of Wufeng. This unique church serves as the center of art, spirit, and culture for the village. In 1976, the young Father Ding Songqing arrived in Qingquan, where he built the church with love and beauty. The church features vibrant stained glass windows, murals, and wood carvings everywhere, even a large mosaic wall by the basketball court outside, all created by the hands of the priest, skillfully blending biblical stories with indigenous legends. Father Ding infused his colorful youth into Qingquan, adding warmth and vibrancy to this originally quiet area.
