Qingye Persimmon Garden Introduction
The persimmons are growing quickly, and when they are ripe, please come and taste the delicious fruit. Even better, there is free sampling! There are both soft and firm options available for tasting! *For soft persimmons: Cut them in half and scoop them out with a large spoon to enjoy. *For crisp persimmons: Wash the skin and then peel it with a peeler, or you can slice them with a knife to enjoy their flavor as well! Usually, the ones you pick in the persimmon orchard are crisp. If you find a soft one, it usually means it's overripe and was not harvested. If you want to eat "soft" persimmons after taking them home, leave them at room temperature for 4-5 days and they will turn red and soft. Keeping persimmons in the refrigerator makes it harder for them to ripen because the lower temperature slows down the ripening process; however, persimmons stored in the fridge will become both crisp and sweet, resulting in a better texture.
